Pyworthy Vacation Packages

A very disappointing stay. We booked a deluxe sea view (with large bay window) double or twin room via Expedia. On arrival at the hotel we did not get the room we booked and paid for. According to Expedia’s description and photographs the room we were given was a STANDARD double room for SINGLE occupancy. As the hotel was fully booked we had to tolerate this very small room with four steps up to the bathroom and really not enough room for two people. The room in no way bore any resemblance to the room we booked and paid for. The hotel blamed Expedia for shunting us into this room as all the others rooms were booked. They insisted it was suitable as a double deluxe - Expedia did not describe it as such. Expedia were at fault and have now compensated us but the hotel need to make sure Expedia are representing their rooms in an accurate way and acknowledge there is n error there. I see from previous reviews we are not the only ones to experience this. It totally ruined our stay. The valet parking is very odd - cars are parked (by staff) in front of each other so you have to ask to get your car out. We did not use our car while staying as on arrival the member of staff that parked our car failed to put our handbrake on. Fortunately we returned to the car for our luggage and realised it moved when we opened the boot. We did not trust them to move the car again. The hotel need to look at Expedia’s room descriptions and make changes.

Friendly welcome, offer a larger room as we were early, with superb views over the bay. Really close to beach, town and marina, but very quiet. Breakfast was self served and amazing choice and quality. Would definitely stay again.

I had great overnight stay for a work trip. My room was spacious and had a nice bathroom. Modern on/off button shower was good. The tv reception was not great (BBC1 didn't work), the carpet a little worn and the shower leaked to the bathroom floor but these were minor details and didn't really impact my overall view. I slept well, the staff were friendly and the best thing was the breakfast. Recommended for an overnight stay.

Good apartment for 3, very clean and well maintained. Both the double and single were ensuite bedrooms. Linen and towels supplied. Coffee, tea, sugar, milk, water and pepper and salt all supplied. It saved us going shopping on arrival. Well equipped kitchen. Everything you could want in a good position for seafront and town and days out.

I enjoyed a perfectly acceptable stay. Every staff member I interacted with was pleasant & friendly. Breakfast was very tasty. It's a good looking place. The owners have obvs tried to provide for all a guest needs in this price bracket. I didn't want for anything. Everything I needed was provided or within reach. It's very hard to get a 5 from me. A touch of black mould here n there in the bathroom/around the bedroom windows and a whiff of dog in the bar (although, to be fair, allowing dogs wasn't a secret!) gets a 4
