"The owner was present at check-in and was very sweet and friendly. Our room was good-sized, very comfortable, and very clean. Staying here, you know you're supporting a family-owned business rather than a chain. The building and furnishings look quite dated. If you're looking for a fancy new building this is probably not the place for you, but if you're looking for a safe, clean, comfortable stay you are absolutely in the right place."

"Our combined annual family gathering is no small event: 22 in all! We host them the first weekend of January each year and this place was magical! (It didn’t hurt that it snowed too!) Modern appliances, very cool history, and plenty of space for all. It was perfect! Thank you to our hosts for being available, excellent communicators, and just great to work with. Sycamore Springs is awesome, especially the skating rink! Long story short, it was great! (We want to come back in warmer months.)"
