Had an excellent stay at Raffles Seychelles. We got in early so they were able to allow us to stay in an open villa while we waited for ours to get ready and we were lucky to get ocean view of only for a short while. We were also able to stay a little longer in our villa upon departure as well. Everything was amazing but especially loved seeing the Tortoises, the breathtaking views, and the wonderful staff from check in to transportation to the restaurants. Would highly recommend.

A little disappointing

Staff is outstanding, Villa is wonderful. Beach is very good. 3 downsides: 1- Breakfast area has broken AC ("for a long time" per one staff member) which makes it VERY hot inside especially when it is already VERY hot outside. Not very sanitary for the food either. 2- The breakfast quality is well below what one would expect at a hotel of that standing. Went to a hotel in Dubai right after this and the difference was noticeable. 3- The hotel is on a hill and it is inconvenient to have to call for a buggie every time you want to go somewhere in the resort. Also, it is facing East so don't see the sunset.

Impeccable Hotel, Fabulous Rooms

Of course what else could I expect from Raffles brand besides a perfect stay, impeccable customer service, lovely grounds, and a fabulous hotel room. I have no complaints about my stay at Raffles. It was pure peace and relaxation. Highly recommend this hotel!

Das Zimmer ist absolut super. Gross, schön und modern. Der Balkon ist super zum entspannen und für die Privatsphäre. Der Service z.B. im Restaurant ist eher miserabel. Da sieht man leider wieder, dass 5 Stern Hotel nichts mit dem Restaurant zu tun hat.

The individual villas are fabulous, lovely views, fantastic plunge pool, beautiful inside, very private. The hotel is renovating gradually, which it does need to do, main restaurant & area outside it in particular need attention. Asian restaurant was excellent, main restaurant food was very average. Would return for those lovely private villas!

The resort is extremely hilly and requires a buggy service for which you must use the telephone in the rooms. However, the phone did not work and the management was aware of it without response when we checked in. Subsequently, we ended up walking. Also, the coffee pot in the room did not work so fresh brewed coffee in the morning no good.

Lovely views on Praslin

A lovely, spacious hilltop villa with amazing views across to Curieuse Island. We enjoyed the outdoor seating space and private plunge pool. Lovely Asprey toiletries. The property is large with a beautiful granite boulder-strewn beachfront. The daily included breakfast was always tasty and plentiful. Prices for other meals were high, and given the difficulty of getting off-property for other meals (unless you've rented a car), it makes sense to book half or full board. Service was often slow especially at lunch and dinner. Service at the pool and the beach was often nonexistant. We expected better at this price point.

We stayed in one of the beautiful panoramic villas which are well sized, have a nice pool and a spacious outdoor deck with beautiful sunset views. The beach is everything you would expect (soft sands, blue seas with fish) and are well maintained as are the over sized pool and sun deck. The staff are charming and helpful. There is a good choice of F&B options but they are good rather than exceptional. Would stay here again though.

The Raffles hotel in the island of the Seychelles was a really sad and terrible experience! Falling apart are best two words to describe the situation it is currently suffering from. A failed management was to be blamed. The service/Professionnalism of the staff is quite eye opening in the worst way imaginable The staff are rude with no training whatsoever for a so called luxury hotel. You feel they are being overworked therefore the effort and kindness naturally disappeares. It's so bad that it becomes difficult to explain it in a few words. A staff member that complains to their guest how bad things are in the resort tells a story by itself. Food is quite a bad one too. Keep in mind our visit was after they started re-opening during Covid-19. One of the two restaurants in the resort was permanently closed. The choices of dishes and preparation was absolutely not acceptable and we tried to avoid eating at the hotel, leaving us with one option in the whole island of Praslin, "Cafe des Art" which still was a more decent venue compared to the hotel saved us for a few days at least its view overlooking the sunset did. What would you call a hotel that would serve you a big glass bottle of water without any glasses of water or paper cups! There excuse was it isn't allowed. So we have to drink from the glass bottle. Who came up with this useless idea. All this with an attitude too making it even worse. My partner got electrocuted by opening a light switch in the garden after

Location and property is stunning, however for a 5 star resort there were things that could definitely improve. Food was 3 star at best quality, deck boards in my villa were coming up, chips on coffee glasses at breakfast...etc. For paying this price every night you’d think the hotel would prioritize upkeep of the hotel.
