We are nestled in the middle of so many beautiful spots to visit here around the Olympic parks. Only 25-30 min to the breathtaking Lake Crescent. There are numerous hikes and places to explore there. Not much further from that is the entrance to Sol Duc. Going the other direction you’ll find the Olympic Hot Springs and be close to Hurricane Ridge entrance . Cape flattery or the Hoh rainforest are not to be missed if you’re headed towards Sekui or Forks area.
* There is a great little store only 8 min from our cabins , Joyce General, that closes at 8pm. We are only 25 min from Port Angeles so if you’re looking for more options be sure to hit Safeway or Walmart off 101 before heading in for the night.
* Blackberry Cafe is a nice option for a meal out that is only 5-8 min from us. Family Kitchen and the One Twelve are two others near our place. In Port Angeles you have everything from amazing burgers at the Next Door Gastropub, tasty BBQ at Coyote Grill, yummy seafood and steak at Kokopelli Grill, Pho that’s the best at New Saigon. For quick and easy on the pocketbook, Fast Burrito with fresh tasty Mexican food . Also Sabi Thai has stellar Thai food. New Day Eatery has breakfast and lunch only, and is very good! Off the 101 on your way to Lake crescent, try out Granny’s Cafe open during the summer season.
Other Things to Note: *Most GPS software is giving incorrect directions to our location. After you get onto the dirt road, you will come to a "Y" in the road. Stay to the LEFT and go up the steep hill. At the crest of the steep hill, you will then turn RIGHT onto Mowitch Trail. The red cabin will be on the right after about 250 feet.

* Lights are very minimal. Making for a beautiful night sky’s. :) Stars galore! If you plan to arrive after dark be sure to follow the directions we give precisely and ask if you any questions at all. I’d bring a flash light along as well for getting settled in your cabin.

Thank you so much for your hospitality, we had a great time and absolutely loved the cabin and the location, very cozy and a good place to watch a scary movie on a rainy evening!
The cabin is in a beautiful location right next to the Hoh rainforest and Ocean. It was super cozy and warm, which was perfect for the thunderstorm we had gotten. Perfect getaway from our crazy college lives and we hope to come back again!!
Everything was as pictured and exactly what we were looking for. Beautiful little cabin, remote and truly amongst the trees -- but an easy enough drive to a general store and diner, easy access to the national park, and close to Port Angeles. The cabin itself was clean and well decorated and super cozy. Check in was seamless. Great stay!

It was exactly as advertised! It was the perfect forest getaway with so many incredible places to adventure to nearby.
Loved being able to hike and enjoy olympic national park during the day and enjoy a fire and bbq at the cabin.
Highly reccomend this place!
It was a picturesque stay! The cabin is exactly as it looks in the photos--honestly even more cozy in person. There's enough privacy with the trees but also a beautiful view of the water. The walk down to the beach was our favorite part! The only concerning thing was that when we got there there was a window open...but I think previous guests must have forgotten to close it. Would highly recommend the stay!
Everything as advertised. This was our base camp for two days in Olympic NP. Lovely setting. Appropriately appointed. Best part: windows were clean. Made for great views from inside to the surrounding woods and a sliver of a view of the Strait of J de F. Would stay again.
We stayed in the Little Red Cabin for several days. The location is ideal -- tucked in the woods yet near a small town with amenities and about a 10-min walk from the coast of the Strait of San Juan de Fuca. It's about 25 mins from Port Angeles, 30 mins from the stunning Lake Crescent, and near many many other beautiful area spots. The owners were communicative and helped with our needs, the cabin was cute and cozy, and the check-in and check-out processes were a breeze. We were three people (me, husband, 11-yr-old son) and it was comfy but you wouldn't want more people as it's a small cabin. Recommend you go and enjoy!
Love this little house in the woods! Great size, close to the water, beautiful windows for looking at the trees, and a few miles off the main drag so it's super quiet. Only thing was that my partner had a really strong allergic reaction to the bedroom, to the point where we slept on the pull out couch. I'd assume there's some mold in the corner wall that should be addressed. Pull out couch was quite comfy. I'd also suggest getting some fire tools for the wood burning stove - a log poker would go a long way. Overall enjoyed our stay.
If you’re looking for somewhere to stay that is quiet, this is your place. It does say in the description that it has water views, but I think that is a stretch. You can see the ocean off in the distance through the trees, but there’s a house between you and that view. Also, the bedroom is quite small. It would be difficult to fit two adults. My sister and I were on a road trip to hike Olympic National Park and it was the perfect location to trails and also the downtown Port Angeles area. The house has everything you need to make your stay comfortable, and also a lovely outdoor deck where you could sit among the trees.
Very cute place. It was super clean and had new retro looking microwave, refrigerator and toaster. Photos in the listing were accurate. It was bigger than we thought. Our 18 year old slept on the couch and said it was comfortable. We appreciated the coffee maker and ground coffee left out for us. Our GPS took us right there. To get to the water (not really a beach in the sense where there is sand) it’s a mile walk or you can drive. Great views! A couple of notes: the bed is tiny, my husband is 5’9” and his feet hung off! Also if you stay for more than one day, bring towels because of the humidity, nothing dries once it’s wet. I’d highly recommend if only staying for one night.
