![Citadel Počitelj, a 14th-century castle in Počitelj, Bosnia & Herzegovina. This fortress was built by King Tvrtko I of Bosnia in 1383 and is impressive to see in person! Počitelj is a village in Čapljina municipality, which is in Herzegovina-Neretva Canton. The historic site of Počitelj is located on the left bank of the river Neretva, on the main Mostar to Metković road, and it is about 30 km. to the south of Mostar.

The village is built in a natural karst amphiteatre along the Neretva river. The walled town of Počitelj evolved in the period from the 16th to the 18th centuries. ![Citadel Počitelj, a 14th-century castle in Počitelj, Bosnia & Herzegovina. This fortress was built by King Tvrtko I of Bosnia in 1383 and is impressive to see in person! Počitelj is a village in Čapljina municipality, which is in Herzegovina-Neretva Canton. The historic site of Počitelj is located on the left bank of the river Neretva, on the main Mostar to Metković road, and it is about 30 km. to the south of Mostar.

The village is built in a natural karst amphiteatre along the Neretva river. The walled town of Počitelj evolved in the period from the 16th to the 18th centuries. "I've been travelling for over 2 months straight staying in a different hotel in a different city almost every night and this hotel was by far the best out of all. There was a girl who worked at the front desk and she was amazing. She greeted me very well when I arrived and showed me many things to do in Mostar and explained some details about the hotel. Gave me tea and cookies during checkin and was very helpful. The hotel is amazing. Very good location. Very good breakfast. Very good views from the room. Very good staff. 10/10 5 stars for sure!"
