Sit in the garden and observe the animals such as iguanas, agoutis, friendly raccoons, and lots of birds like parrots and chachalaca. Walk through the tropical garden and spot flowering orchids, epiphytes, cocoplum and coconut trees or soursop trees. The 1-bed & 1 –bath apartment is very spacious. The kitchen is fully equipped with a microwave, coffee maker, a toaster, cooking utensils, a full-size fridge, and a stove with oven. This is ecotourism at its finest! Located in a bushy jungle like area, just step from the lagoon on one side and Caribbean ocean on the other side. The Chachalakas, the Agoutis would greet us in the morning and 4 little racoons would pass by in the evening! We booked one week and continued our travel but... returned 3 days later and were lucky to be able to book for another week! The landlords were awsome and so accomodating!! Highly recommended! The apartment was clean and functional with a full kitchen, a/c, free wi-fi and TV. It was in a quiet area of Maya Beach with access to several small restaurants and bars. There was also a grocery store nearby. Herbert and Simone were an absolute joy and so helpful. They helped us with scheduling taxis, tours, etc., and anything else you needed. The only downside we had was it was 8 miles from Placencia Village and we didnt have a car. The options are bikes, taxis, or renting golf carts, which could get a little pricey.
