The gated villa provides an excellent setting for a private beachfront getaway. The villa features a huge chef's kitchen with a massive island bar that provides for a great place to cook and hang out in. The large covered patio, complete with outdoor kitchen, overlooks the large pool and beach. The first floor of the villa also features a large living room with large flat screen TV located directly off from the kitchen, 1/2 bath as well as 2 large private bedrooms with en suite bathrooms. Upstairs you will find two additional bedrooms both with en suite bathrooms and a large private balcony overlooking the pool and the ocean. It is situated on a 16-mile-long peninsula that is surrounded by a lagoon on one side and the Caribbean Sea on the other. Being inland, Placencia provides easy access to many activities on the mainland like Mayan Ruins, waterfalls, ziplining and cave tubing to name a few. Goldson International Airport (BZE), located northwest of Belize City. Your concierge will assist with the first options to arrange domestic transportation from BZE to Placencia: \- Travel by plane on a local commuter flight from the airport (BZE) to the Placencia Airstrip (PLJ). Flight time is approximately 30 minutes. Once in Placencia, our staff will pick you up and take you to the villa. Our concierge will work with you to book the local flights as soon as you have your international flights ready. \- Travel by private shuttle van from BZE, where the driver will meet you outside of baggage claim. The drive time is approximately 2 hours. You’ll be taken directly to the villa. The pool and the sea were wonderful and true to the pictures. We absolutely loved Belize and participated in most of the excursions that were available The concierge service was very reliable and took us to the Mayan ruins, cave tubing, monkey river, snorkeling, and deep sea fishing. Words of advice, bring plenty of cash for tipping and fly from the Belize City airport to Palencia The drive is at least 3.5 hours and goes through mountain road, resulting in car sickness from my grand daughter! ##### Barbara C.
