The room was very warm and the windows didn’t open up very far so was quite stuffy for sleeping in, but everything else was good. Plenty of tea & coffee etc & shortbread.. Pet friendly which is great. They even cooked a sausage for my dog & made a fuss of her. Was only staying one night on route, would have liked to stay longer. Staff excellent& so friendly. The drinks at the bar area are reasonable price. Only 4 mins or so walk from the train station. Wod defo stay here again. The building is set back from the road and at night the entrance to the driveway is very dark and unlit. Upon arriving I walked up from town and passed right by it on the opposite sidewalk as I wasn't able to see the signage. The room was nice, however, this time of year you'll need to turn on the radiator heat in your room as it wasn't set up ahead of time.
