The property is connected to Pilot Mountain State Park on two sides. PMSP trails can be accessed from here. Right down the road, there is a river access to the Yadkin River and horseback riding trails. Hanging Rock state park and the Dan River are only a few miles away. The historic town of Pilot Mountain is down the road. The place was comfortable and enjoyable with a beautiful view. I will stay there again! I will bring my own Keurig coffee and bring comfortable slippers to walk around. However we felt that the addition of more essentials and other items would have given a 5 star rating. Having owned a rental property, I realized what the market wanted in a vrbo. Having coffee and other essential items for the pantry would have been nice especially with no stores close by. Also a book with instructions for check in and checkout, a listing of things to do close by, labeling of remotes, a bath mat, new pillow cases, window treatments for the front side, extra blankets, Wi-Fi with instructions to connect, etc. Overall for the minimal time we spent it was sufficient. I have family in the area and will be traveling several times a year to visit. Would love to stay here again but would not at this time for more than 1 night unless the items listed above were added to the amenities of the property. ##### Ashleigh P. Great place for a couple and their pet(s). We loved having the view of pilot mountain off the back porch and being located within 10-15 mins from pilot mountain, Pinnacle, and the wedding venue we were attending a wedding at. If you like feeling secure at night, this may not be the place for you. My wife had a couple concerns with there being only exterior entrances to the cabin and no closed off bedroom. Window curtains over the front door could also be a nice touch, as vehicle lights woke us up a good bit though out the stay. It was perfectly situated to be able to see the mountain. The mountain is literally in the backyard. It was an amazing backdrop that I took wonderful pictures the cottage house everything that you will need for your stay Very easy to maneuver through. It was perfectly located to get to Mount Airy to visit Mayberry and just about a 15 minute drive from Winston-Salem. There is a brand new Walmart. That’s really close by the property was well-maintained by the VRBO host and the grass had been freshly cut so that was very nice and thoughtful by far. This was a five out of five if I could’ve given it a tent and they had 10 stars. The bugs were really annoying and the cleaning crew sucks! There was bugs in the refrigerator, the stove panel was pushed out(I was scared to use it), the floor was dirty and I felt unsafe because the windows weren’t covered(anybody can look in at you).
