It needs a deadbolt and privacy sheers (privacy without blocking the sunlight), but the update is well done overall. This was my first time in the Pine Top area and my main complaint was the traffic. I was expecting a walkable town, but the traffic is so insane that you’d risk your life to attempt to cross the street. They need to implement traffic control similar to Ruidoso if they want to build a strong tourist economy. Only complaint is the pillows were not comfortable for us and bed frame rattled every time my husband flopped over. It was nice having a mini fridge and microwave. We asked for a new change in bedding which was brought but we ended up staying somewhere else due to how grossed out and inconvenienced we were. We came back the next morning before checkout to get the rest of our stuff and shower and saw the new bedding that we had requested. I’m glad we stayed somewhere else and didn’t risk another reaction. If the bedding was covered in pet hair, I didn’t want to think about what else was dirty. Plus after checkout we received an email asking us what we thought about the property, stating others thought it was “pet friendly”. I’m not asking to accommodate guests allergies but to have a bed covered in dog hair is disgusting even if my fiancé didn’t have an allergy. The only thing I would recommend for anyone staying there if you use a blow dryer take one cause there isn’t one.
