"Property has a lovely view, convenient to small retail shops of Lake Junaluska and Chapel. The property is showing its age in several areas. The hotel could use a remodel, or at least a full inspection with repairs. Coffee should be available all day in the lobby, instead of only tea. The cafeteria could use better planning for group meals. Shellfish should not be served."

"Great place to stay, beds were very comfortable, kitchen was great to have and was well stocked with the basics. Didn’t use the laundry but it was nice. Would stay again. Strange that there wasn’t a blind or curtain on the entry door, also we had one gentleman that was going to be a future guest, to walk in but it was completely an accident. We should have had the door locked."

"This is a lovely cabin, very comfortable and beautifully built. Each bedroom has a private bath and is on a separate floor of the house, ensuring good privacy. The covered porch overlooks the Pigeon River. We were able to walk into the river, which is wild and fast-flowing, and which emits a beautiful sound through open windows. The owner, Jack Chambers, who actually built the cabin, was both highly personable and responsive."
