Great location
The home was well cared for in a great location, close to restaurants, Scottsdale, and Paradise Valley, and 101 loop, 15 minutes from the airport. The floor plan was great with two spacious bedrooms (one doubled as an office). Everything worked well, the kitchen was well supplied and very clean. Laundry room was a strong benefit as was the master shower. The host, Steve, was very responsive, quickly answered any and all questions I had.
I have a few concerns that would prevent me from renting this house again. The house, in general was quite dark, the living room especially. The lamps were weak and I had to strain to read (I read in the dining room). The living room furniture was heavy, difficult to move the two chairs for visiting guests. All three televisions were quite small and the living room only had restricted ROKU stations. Old outdated food and drinks were left in the cabinets. The master bed mattress was slightly slanted downward towards the window, would benefit with replacement. Light in master bedroom was weak, need brighter bulbs in the lamps or replace lamps.
While I know the house is 40 years old, it badly needs updating. Everything except the appliances, seems very last century. White interior paint would probably help along with better lighting (e.g., more recessed lighting in the living room). The skylights were a plus in the kitchen and laundry room.
Again, the location was great and this house would probably work for people who like dark spaces.
