  • A stunning four season lake side cottage retreat located just outside of Huntsville, Ontario on Lake Mirage.

    Five bedrooms over three stories offers privacy and space to allow all guests the opportunity to relax and enjoy.
    The Master bedroom is situated on a private level offering a beautiful private bathroom - there is nothing like waking up to gorgeous lake views.
    Two bedrooms on the main floor with one having a private 'Romeo and Juliette' balcony overlooking the lake is a true dream.
    The lower floor hosts two further bedrooms one with a queen bed and the second a perfect retreat for the kids with two single beds.
    All bedrooms come fully furnished with all bedding, towels and linens.

    In the Summer a beautiful sandy beach leading to a stunning dock invites you to enjoy the great outdoors. Lake Mirage offers excellent fishing, swimming and water sports - the cottage offers private motor boat access to all cottage renters alternatively play a game of volley ball on our private beach.

    In the winter ice fishing, snow shoeing and ice skating can all be enjoyed. The Cottage is located approximately 1 minute from amazing snowmobile trails and about 20 minutes for ski hills near Huntsville.

    After a day of enjoying the Muskoka lifestyle, cooking in our elegant and over sized kitchen is a chefs dream. Enjoy group dining in our open concept sitting and dining room all while taking in the breath taking views of the sunset.

    At night enjoy a movie or PS4 on our projection screen while sitting next to an open fire or enjoy a hot tub while sitting under the stars. Alternatively, enjoy the main floor fire place and cathedral ceiling in our great room.

    If you are looking for a quiet place to sit and relax we encourage you to enjoy the sunrise or snow fall from the sun filled sunroom - our personal favorite spot in the cottage.

    If you are looking for a vacation property large enough to host large families or groups of friends yet a cottage that still offers you the opportunity to have privacy and relaxation this is the cottage for you. An exceptional four season cottage that can't be missed.
    Beginning of October until end of April snow clearing of driveway has been arranged.
    This reservation has a Flexible cancellation policy - refunds will be issued up to 30 days prior to the check in date.
    A 100% refund is provided for travellers cancelling at least 30 days before check-in. A 50% refund is provided for travellers cancelling from 14 to 29 days before check-in. No refunds are provided for travellers cancelling less than 14 days prior to check-in. CanadaStays Booking Fees are refundable if you cancel within 48 hours of placing your booking request.
    Our house rules: primary renter must be 25 or older, no smoking, no parties or events, pets permitted.
    Small dogs up to 20 pounds are permitted.
    All bedding, linens and towels are included with every rental.
    Unlimited wifi included.

A gem on Mirage Lake

We had an amazing weekend! It was a friends gathering of expats (Canadian, French, Dutch, German and Austrian) and the Cottage exceeded our expectations.And I've to tell you, it's not easy to please us all. Perfect Getaway

Lake Mirage was the perfect cottage for our time in Huntsville. The house is gorgeous, the beach/dock area is great for lakeside enjoyment, and the view from the dock is so peaceful. The cottage had everything we needed for our stay. When we return to the area, this will be our first choice in the future!

Adult family fall escape!

We have a lovely stay - with seven adults there was plenty of space to either be together or find a spot for some quiet time. Kitchen was massive, large dining room table and loved all the tech (wireless chargers in every room, large tv and movie screen). Outside was amazing too - fire pit, hot tub, canoes and kayaks which we all took advantage of! Highly recommended and I’d definitely rent this cottage again.

Perfect Stay

This cottage is beautiful, well equipped with quality linens and towels. The waterfront is perfect, with a large dock and beach entry. We typically try different cottages every year, but this one we'd come back to. There was nothing we didn't like!

Such a wonderful cottage, and beautiful property. Even looks better in person, which is hard to believe. The photos are stunning. Communication was perfect via text, and the owners are always available. Short drive to Huntsville for all things Muskoka. Would recommend to anyone, and look forward to coming back next year.

Beautiful Cottage

We celebrated New Years together at this cottage and had a wonderful time. We appreciated the attention to details throughout with features such as towel warmers for the hot tub, convenient phone charging pads, and projection screen for movies/playstation. Davinia was a great host, quick to respond to all inquiries and when a minor issue came up was compassionate and proactive in assisting. This cottage is a special place and we hope to return again!

Perry Cottage stay summer 2023

This cottage is wonderful. It is our second year staying here. There are all the amenities on my list of things plus an added bonus is that the owners are extremely responsive to any requests or reports of something not working properly. Problems are very few but when there is one, it is solved very quickly. Looking forward to returning here!

We are just back home from a wonderful weekend at Lake Mirage. We were very fortunate as the weather forecast was not in our favour but Saturday after a lovely hike at Arrowhead Park we checked in and the rest of the day was gorgeous. We sat out on the dock and watched the sunset and our family had a paddle on the lake using the kayaks. For the third week in October this was a wonderful bonus. The cottage itself was perfect. Every detail; the design, the furnishings, the games, the facilities. You spared nothing. We had a wonderful family birthday dinner. We loved it all and Sunday night, it rained but the Blue Jays won their game!!PS I could not rate the property manager or the skiing but we had no experience with either

Family Vacation

Cottage has everything you need and more. There were lots of little details that really made it special ( chocolates at the bedside, phone chargers in every bedroom etc). Lots of beach area for the kids. The firetable on the deck was used at night to chat over a glass of wine and watch the stars. One small complaint is the swimming area. There are lots of weeds which kept most out of the water. Paddle boats and kayaks kept us busy on top of the water !

Extreme number of weeds making swimming challenging off the dock; better in the middle of the lake. Internet very sketchy at best. Although Charger provided for vehicle, unable to connect and no assistance provided. Beautiful cottage.

Good Stay

We just got back from a weekend at Lake Mirage and had a good time. A few little things, the Lake itself is quite brown looking certainly not inviting to swim at all. Second issue was the bugs, pretty much unbearable. I understand these are not the fault of the owner at all, can't help mother nature. The cottage itself was quite nice, decorated nicely although maybe a bit too high tech a little more direction on how the TV's, PS4 etc work would have been helpful. One thing we did notice was there were no wash clothes or toiletries in any of the washrooms which we thought was quite odd, they did have hand towels and bath towels however. All in all a decent stay, not sure it is worth the cost for our family but if you don't mind bugs and brown water the cottage itself is nice.

Great stay at Lakehouse Mirage!

Our extended family (6 adults, 3 kids) enjoyed our stayed at Lakehouse Mirage in mid July. The property is even nicer in person - very clean and comfortable. We have been renting for many years and there were a few added perks that made our stay even better….the welcome treats, the expresso machine, comfy robes, fresh herbs and the theatre system to name a few. The water was a bit weedy for the kids to swim in but they had a lot of fun fishing off the dock - it was the highlight of their trip…that and the s’mores! Thank-you for hosting us at your beautiful cottage!

This cottage is just lovely. Every touch has been made to make the stay special. The sandy lead in to the water and the chairs on the beach, dock and firepit. There are also two tables to eat outside, plus the firepit area. The bedrooms were neat, clean and tidy. Each of my kids could choose a bedroom they liked and that was bright and airy. The property was clean and attention to detail was given to make it a comforting and soothing place to be. Davinia was completely responsive to the couple of issues we had and they were solved right away. When the dishwasher stopped working, they had a brand new one installed the very next day! And that leads me to their handyman Jim who was there in minutes if there was a problem to be solved. He was friendly, hard working and very respectful. The fact that towels and linens are provided was also a huge bonus as there are not a lot of cottages for rent that provide this and since we fly in from out of town it makes it really hard to provide our own linens. We can't wait to come back next summer! Thank you Davinia and Michael for sharing your beautiful space with us!

The Most Beautiful Cottage

This cottage was absolutely fantastic! It was clean, true to advertisement and full of comfort. The bedrooms were comfortable, very spacious and easy to clean up. The kitchen was perfect! It was furnished with everything and it was all very clean! I found the couple we dealt with so accommodating and easy to get a hold of and the perfect hosts. I have already recommended to so many people and I would go again! Thank you for a wonderful most relaxing weekend!

Location and Views were stunning!

The property and cottage is stunningly beautiful - you will not be disappointed. Overall we had a wonderful weekend. I would recommend bringing towels as they were very limited - no spa towels available for hot tub use. The hot tub was a warm tub, which we did not find warm enough to enjoy in the snow. We would definitely consider returning in the summer/early fall months.
