With strict COVID-19 precautions to adhere to, travel looks a lot different these days. Here are some useful things to know before you pack your bags for Pensar:

• Before locking in your flight, find out if any travel restrictions or bans apply — in both your origin and destination. Keep informed with the latest updates by checking government and travel websites.
• Wear a face mask even during airport screening. A TSA employee will require you to temporarily lower your mask for ID purposes.
• To minimize the risk of cross-contamination, position your boarding pass on the scanner yourself and then hold it up for inspection. Do not hand your boarding pass directly to a TSA employee.
• One liquid hand sanitizer container is now permitted in your carry-on baggage. It must be no bigger than 12 oz (350 ml), and you'll have to remove it from your bag at the X-ray machine for screening.
• Put any personal items (like your phone, wallet and keys) in your carry-on instead of a bin to reduce handling during the screening process.
• Separate any food you have for screening. Food items often trigger the alarm. Putting them in a clear plastic bag and into a bin reduces the need for a TSA employee to handle and inspect your belongings.
