Really enjoyed our stay at the Lounge Hotel Penrith. Stayed in a family room with a toddler and baby, we had plenty of space. Great options for everybody at breakfast and the cooked breakfast is delicious. Helpful and friendly staff that go above and beyond, such as giving us some milk at the nighttime for my son. Only downside was no lift to get our double pram up to the hotel room, but wasn’t a big deal or inconvenience to us and we just folded and carried it up the stairs. Upon entering, we were greeted by an unwell person who was coughing constantly. In our room, we noticed we were missing one bath towel, so we had to go downstairs and wait a long time for assistance. When I tried to make a coffee in the room, I found that the saucers were dirty from the previous guests, and the water glasses were sticky. Additionally, the glass water bottle provided for guests was empty on the table. My son even discovered some rubbish in the drawer. However, as I stay away quite often I’d forgotten how bad the food was! The last time I stayed there with my wife, I remember the Beef Teriyaki being the best thing on the menu. This time it wasn't great. The meat was hard and dry with no sauce etc. I sent it back to have the same meal returned, but with a load of sauce and piping hot throughout as it had been nuked! Ended up just eating the rice and the veg and left all the meat! Terrible! Great place to stay, but the food is a lottery. The full breakfast the next day wasn’t great either.
