We were a party of twelve and never felt cramped. The house is huge with wonderful light. It is private yet close enough to all of the action. We spent on day on Mackinac Island and the other days touring in and around Petosky. The kitchen was well stocked and the beds were comfortable. The only “issue” we had was that there was only on bottle of shampoo for the two bathrooms. We worked it out. The house was spotless. The house easily accommodated all of us with plenty of space to hang out, and we didn't even maximize the whole property! The kids loved the apple tree out front, the big pine tree for climbing, and the jacuzzi tub in the master suite. Grownups rotated between the main living room, kitchen bar area, and the deck, with plenty of other lounging areas. Very spacious. Felt like having your own private ski lodge. Only about a 20 minute drive to Petosksy, Mackinac City, and Harbor Springs. There is a small grocery store and butcher shop half a mile down the road. The sunset over the farm across the street was beautiful. The grounds were not well kept. A very loud, whole house, security/smoke alarm went off spontaneously for about 20 minutes in the middle of the afternoon, and they had no idea what to do about it. It stopped on its own, and the answer was to just hope it doesnt happen again. That was a little disconcerting. However, the property manager was very attentive, and friendly. No hard feelings. The air conditioning worked really well. Super hot days and the inside was cold. The beds and pillows were not very comfortable. Check in was at 5:00 pm, which is pretty late, and they were actually cleaning until then so there was no way to get in the house early. ##### David F. It was a great place to stay. My family and I loved it! We found 2 ticks in the cabin. It was even more beautiful and impressive than the pictures. Very spacious and clean. Only 10 minutes from the slopes. Owner was very responsive to our texts.
