Relax on the spacious deck or next to the wood stove while loons call in the distance. Being next to the Groton State Forest, this vacation getaway offers snowmobiling, snow shoeing, cross country skiing, hiking, ice biking,fishing and hunting. It is also an easy 50 minute drive to Burke and Stowe and Craftsbury ski areas. The cabin was so charming and views were beautiful! We even caught small mouth bass on the pond. We were also pleased that the cabin was a bit off of the beaten path and lead us on beautiful drives through the Vermont countryside! It is still within driving distance to Stowe and other Vermont attractions. Having sheets and towels provided was also great! The description was exactly what the property was. We all enjoyed the stay. My youngest was 14 all they way up to my Mother in her 70s. Enjoyed the pine board finish, kitchen was more than useful, beds were good including the futon. We also enjoyed the lake(thats what it would be called in our area) caught some small bass and swimming was super cold and refreshing.
