Sundial Lodge boasts both premier location and premier amenities, as such, it is no surprise that the property has won Conde Nast's Reader's Choice award, putting Sundial Lodge among the top 25 properties in the US West and #1 in Park City, and been recognized by Forbes as one of "The 30 Best Ski-In And Ski-Out Resorts In The World For 2022". In terms of location, there is simply no more convenient location than Sundial Lodge to enjoy Park City's 7300 acres of terrain from. When you stay at Sundial you are at the very heart and center of the resort plaza. The property adjoins the main Red Pine gondola, houses the resort ski school, ski rentals, and ski shop, and wraps around the forum which is the hub of apres ski. No "near" or "close" to the lifts as many others promise, Sundial Lodge IS the very heart and center with NO OTHER PROPERTY MORE CONVENIENT to both skiing/boarding and resort plaza amenities including apres ski activities for adults and children alike, restaurants, shops, free concerts and more. Enjoy concerts in spring and summer. Summer enjoys golf, ziplines, mountain biking, hiking, and much more (all just out the door). Meanwhile, the property has the amenities to deliver the superior experience you are looking for. From the circular entrance with sparkling lights to greet you upon your arrival, to bell service (seasonal) to assist you with your luggage, and to the front desk to assist you with your check-in. The property has a year-round heated outdoor pool, multiple hot tubs (both pool and roof level), relaxing gas firepits (both pool and roof level), a gym, luxury ski check with boot dryers, complimentary wifi, paid underground parking, and more. And this is one of the best units at Sundial, the unit is on two stories, with vaulted ceilings, an expansive oversized balcony running the full length of the unit, and everything in the unit upgraded above and beyond others within the property (from the hardwood floors to the Bosch dishwasher and LG washer/dryer, right down to the L'Occitane amenities, everything within the unit is designed to set the bar for the property from start to finish). Living area with fireplace, door to balcony, flatscreen TV with DirecTV, internet TV (Netflix, YouTube, etc.), DVD, music w/iPod/mp3 dock, sofabed, seating at both table and bar, oversized windows, vaulted ceiling. The full kitchen features granite countertops and slate floors and is fully stocked with everything to enjoy eating with family and friends. Details matter and we go over and above standard with everything from the quality of the silverware, to the provision of both drip coffee and Keurig is above standard for the prop. On the main level, you will find two bedrooms, one with a king, a fireplace, and a door to a balcony, the second with a queen bed. Both have extra high ceilings, extra high windows, and 42' flatscreens. On the main level, you will find two full baths (3rd bath upstairs) featuring natural stone, heated floors, deep soaking tubs, and rainshower shower heads. The master bath also features a jacuzzi tub. LG steam washer/dryer. Upstairs you will find an open bedroom/loft looking down on the living area, with two twin beds (can be made up as king upon request, a small fee applies). There is a flatscreen and DVD player. The third (upstairs) full bath features heated floors and a deep soaking tub. The balcony is larger than most Sundial units, running the full length of the unit and unlike most Sundial units that have only chairs on the balcony, such is outfitted with chairs and a table to enjoy drinking and dining al-fresco. Moreover, you will enjoy little luxury touches that make a difference --from luxury robes to luxury L'Occitane amenities, to luxury high thread count luxury linens -- little things that are unique to our unit as we try to go the extra mile and deliver a superior experience. Only negative was that most of the Canyons Mountain was shut down due to strike. Pretty awful! Deer Valley was great! Lots of money wasted on family vacation to wait around for over crowded runs. The closets were very small and the master closet had permanent hangers on one side and none on the other side of the small set of drawers in the closet. The condo was beautiful and fairly spacious for our family of 5\. We enjoyed the large balcony with BBQ grill. Smaller kitchen but had the essentials. Beds were very comfortable, with comfy douvets. Large tvs in every room made everyone happy. Enjoyed the fireplaces in the living room and master. Heated tile floors were a nice plus. The Sundial property itself is a bit rundown, but the owners condo is very nice and well maintained. Beautiful views from the balcony. It was steps to the lifts and have an easy ski valet room for access to equipment. There are restaurants and stores steps away and the property had everything you could need. The condo was perfect for our family of 5 - having a washer dryer was a huge bonus and the kitchen was well stocked. We enjoyed all hanging out in the living room (time for the new couch though - the cushions dont stay on it!) The only downside was a lack of storage - when you ski you have a lot of stuff and there was no where to put ski stuff at the end of each day - I would be nice to have hooks or shelves or lockers for everything either in the main area or in the rooms. This was extremely disappointing. We had lots of maintenance issues, we’ve never seen bathrooms so small, even the couch cushions slid forward every time we sat on it. Then, when I mentioned all of these things to the property manager via email, they told me that we would saved $1,000 by booking with them directly. What kind of response is that. We have no problem paying top dollar for top quality lodging. This was definitely the worst experience we’ve had yet. ##### Katie R. The Sundial was a wonderful condo for our family! The unit had plenty of room for us with a bed to spare. It could easily accomodate 6 and up to 8\. Very Clean with updated ammenities. Plenty of dining options within walking distance and we also grilled steaks at the available poolside grill(s) for dinner. We felt like we were central to everything; entertainment, dining, and ski-lifts were a short walk from the lobby. Great views from the deck(s) with nice morning sun. Most impressive was the customer service. The staff members tried to remember our names when they saw us, and provided excellent tips and suggestions from best ski locations of the day to discount lift passes, to rushing to light the fire pits for our enjoyment! I cannot remember the last time I enjoyed better service! Brad, we have all voted, and will be back to your sundial next year for more spring skiing!! ##### Danielle O. There were many condos available on VRBO. We chose this condo for the close proximity to the lift, restaurants and amenities. We could not have chosen a better place! The owner was responsive to our questions and very professional. The location was perfect! Close to rentals, ski shops, and a short walk to the gondola. The interior was recently updated with new granite and new bathrooms with heated floors. (We loved the heated floors!) It was the perfect size for six to sleep comfortably. The condo kitchen was well stocked, the bed linens were of fine quality, and the unit was very clean. The patio / balcony was big and had a nice view of the valley. It did not face the courtyard / slopes, so the noise was minimal at night. Check in / out was easy and we were made to feel important. It was great to have under ground parking! Our only issue was the toilet was being repaired upon check in, but it was rapidly fixed. The resort and condo staff was very helpful and timely. Despite one of us having a knee injury on the slopes, it was the perfect ski vacation for our girls ski weekend! We will definately come back. ##### Elizabeth J. ### 6/10 Okay #### Douglas H. But the unit itself was older and spartan, and many things did not work: blinds: unable to open/close, so no privacy and no sleep in. Fireplace in master bedroom does not come on. Shower light in 2nd bathroom does not work. The sprayer in kitchen so blocked it does not clean sink: do it by hand. The price for this was PREMIUM but the condition of the unit was below average. Note: location great. Adding to this, canyons rental failed to acknowledge any of our complaints so none of these were fixed. They texted us multiple times but never replied to our replies. So made a phone call and they promised followup but did nothing. There are plenty of other properties in canyons village so I would recommend any of these, as long as it was not canyons management company. ##### Douglas H. L.
