Baker's Cay Resort Key Largo, Curio Collection by Hilton
10/10 Excellent
"Always have a great time when I stay in Baker’s Cay! I love the private beach on the property and the food is delicious! You don’t need to leave the property to have a good time."
"This place was a perfect location with wonderful staff that bent over backwards to help with anything. The problem I would never recommend this place to anyone is because there are rooster roaming the property that started roosting they loud cries that started at 5am until 7am and thus we lost three hours of sleep. I am a huge animal lover but this was insane. Everyone is the facility had to have heard this roosting ordeal. "
"Man oh man. Bottom line is the property is not good value for money.
Key Largo has no attractions so you look to the hotel for things to do. Thier distractions are minimal. The facility says there is a pool, we aint seen it yet. The hot tub was chock full of kids (of course). Nothing else to do. The small beach while romantic to look at has really murky water. I get the sewage plant has to go somewhere on the property but to have one of your most expensive rooms $321 p.n. two apartments away is ridiculous. What we thought was a swamp smell was off gassing from the sewer plant. ( Remebmer the murky water earlier). Yeah... we stayed the night and got out of dodge. The lumpy mattress could not take a second night.
In fairness the food is fair to good but offset by super aggressive flies. They will try to fight you for it. You let a lot slide because of them. Front office and bar super good. The room and sheets were clean, 4 stars. The staff is friendly and helpful. Drinks are light pour but reasonably priced for a Tourist trap. Skip the complimentary breakfast. Nice try but total value of a fly free bagle, juice and cooffee is about $5.00.
Would stop for a meal, dinner may be safer than lunch but would not stay at current expedia pricing."
