Favourite hotel to relax and disconnect !

The sala Khaoyai is THE hotel we make a point to stay when we go to Thailand to relax. It was exceptional, it got even better lately. The restaurant food improved a lot. There are bit more hotel rooms now and some construction have happened around. But it is only one side of the hill and it remains very special and private. (Make sure you visit Aldicini winery nearby. )

Sala Khaoyai is as beautiful if not more so then what it appears on IG photos.The architecture is very well designed and many of the views are well framed. The pool design is great and brought out the beauty of Khao Yai. The service was very good. During my stay, there were 2 flies in my room. The housekeeper, though sassy, managed to remove the flies without having to use bug spray. That's dedication. However, it is clear that if you are physically challenged, you might not be suitable for the cheaper suites, as you'll have to climb a flight of stair to get them. Also, you might have to tolerate a potential level of bugs in the room, after all, it is situated within the outdoors. I was horrified by some sort of brown spider moving around my room. But all in all, I had a great experience.

Stunning location spread along the ridge of a hill. Good design. Very relaxing. We really enjoyed our stay and plan to return. While not at all a problem for us, the location will be problematic for anyone with mobility or stamina issues.

This resort is very far from pakchong district and a good place to hide away from city life. very quiet place. it has about 10 rooms. not much to do there other than just take it easy & relax - I think it's built for that. Breakfast ok no variety of food but I think because if its size.

Unique proposition hotel. Stunning view!

Unique hotel in the middle of nowhere. With a stunning view. This hilltop hotel has only seven room. It is about privacy, quietness and enjoyinfg the view. The restaurant could offer a bit more choice, but given the small number of room, it is understandable the the choice is limited. Be careful with the chili in the food. It can be overwhelming. There nothing else to do there! and this is what I love about this place : disconnect! A unique and unforgettable place. My second time there and still loving it!

I had Fish with spicy lemon juice sauce, which was so good. from my room, when you wake up in the morning I can see sun rise from the big glass window. Also from the lobby you can see both sun rise and sunset. Very nice and quiet. Love it !!!

Good: The room was spacious and very nice. Bad: The property is small with nothing but a pool and restaurant bar and massage area. It is intended to be a peaceful retreat but fails miserably. The staff outnumber the guests and are very noisy. Starting at 6 am the staff arrives and begin loud conversations on this small property. Tried to relax on my balcony I paid extra for, but constant staff traffic walks by. Not at all private! Not worth the high price!
