We spent a night at Ohange Namibia Lodge en route to Etosha, and it was absolutely perfect! We'd flown in to Namibia that morning,and Ohange is simply 100% Namibia. It is right in the bush, but not far off the main road to make it a long detour, and the chalets are comfortable, clean and very spacious. Friendly staff, good food, nice decor. The lodge star is a big dog, so friendly and cute. This lodge is in the middle of the bush, 3km from main road, so it's very quiet and nice. Die Ohange Namibia Lodge war mit einer unserer Favoriten auf unserer Namibia Reise. Die Lodge ist familiär betrieben und mit 10 Zimmern nicht zu groß. Man darf sich von Google nicht täuschen lassen, dort liegt die Lodge nämlich direkt an der Straße. In wirklichkeit liegt sie jedoch noch wenige Kilometer von der Straße entfernt auf einem schönen Privaten Farmgelände. Abends haben wir mit eines der besten Abendessen gehabt. Gemütlich saßen alle zusammen an einem großen Tisch um eine Feuerstelle herum. Die Eigentümer waren auch mit dabei. Das Frühstück war auch klasse. Mitunter gab es frische Avocados von den eigenen Bäumen. Eher einfach eingerichtete Zimmer. Carla die freundliche und Hilfsbereite Inhaberin betreute ihre Gäste am gemeinsamen Abendtisch. In der Küche vorbereitete und schmackhafte Speisen wurden am freien Grill präsentiert oder grosszügige Grilladen an demselben frisch gegrillt. Für den über 3 km langen Anfahrtsweg braucht man ein geländegängiges Fahrzeug, 4WD ist aber nicht erforderlich. Das WIFI funktionierte einwandfrei. Dort wurden wir sehr freundlich empfangen und hatten ein süßen klein Hüttchen. Am Abend gab es ein ausgezeichnetes Essen bei Lagerfeuer und Tierbeobachtung am eigenen Wasserloch. Ein stattlicher Eland-Bulle läuft schon mal ohne Scheu durch die Anlage. Bungalows schön gemacht, mit vielen Naturmaterialien. In dem Reetdach liefen öfter Geckos herum, die ihre Ausscheidungen auf unserer Bettdecke hinterließen. Leider keine Klimaanlage. Bis zum Pool gab es WLAN, so dass die Bungalows in der Nähe des Haupthauses sicher interessanter sind. ##### Martina ### 8/10 Good #### Stefan, Halle Jun 11, 2015 Liked: Cleanliness, staff & service, property conditions & facilities #### Zum Wohlfühlen und Ausspannen Zum Ende unserer Namibia-Rundreise haben wir aus dem Etosha NP kommend hier zwei Nächte Station gemacht. Die Farm liegt auf halbem Wege zwischen Otavi und Tsumeb und die Zufahrt erfolgt direkt von der B1\. Der Weg vom Tor bis zur Lodge ist manchmal recht abenteuerlich, aber gut ausgeschildert. Die Inhaber sorgen für ein sehr persönliches Verhältnis, man fühlt sich immer willkommen und integriert. Wir wurden z.B. zu einer kleinen Fahrt über die Farm eingeladen und bekamen so auch einen Einblick in bestimmte Aspekte des Alltags. Der Bungalow ist einfach, aber geschmackvoll eingerichtet. Es gibt einen kleinen, sauberen Pool und ein beleuchtetes Wasserloch, an dem sich das Farmwild auch gern zeigt. Frühstück und Abendessen, immer mit der Farmerfamilie, waren sehr reichlich und ausgesprochen lecker. Das Essen vom Grill und die Tafel an der Feuerstelle sorgten für einen besonderen Reiz. Insgesamt hat uns der Aufenthalt sehr gut gefallen. ##### Stefan ### 2/10 Terrible #### Dieter, Zirndorf Mar 28, 2015 Disliked: Cleanliness, staff & service, property conditions & facilities, room comfort #### unmoegliche Unterkunft - wir besuchten die Ohange Lodge die Anfahrt war fuer einen normalen PKW sehr schwierig Es wurde uns ein Zimmer gezeigt wir traten ein und drehten uns sofort wieder um es war unzumutbar nur als allerletzte Notunterkunft zu benutzen zwei an de Waenden stehende Pritschen (als Bett) keine Abstellmoeglichkeiten minibad u toilette nur durch eine halbhohe wand vom Zimmer getrennt eine total finstere Dusche Das einzig positive war die Besitzerin half uns freuendlicherweise um telefonisch eine andere Lodge zu finden.
