The staff was exceptional. Our luggage was lost on the flight to Japan. The proprietor went out of his way to help us track it down. He also gave great restaurant tips. Above and beyond!

Really great hotel in a central area right on the river! We enjoyed the onsen and the owner even helped us understand how to get back to Tokyo to the airport. The room is a bit noisy during the day and early evening from boat tours/ activity outside but quiets down at night.

Everything was wonderful, but I have to talk about how absolutely sweet every member of the staff was that we spoke to. It was like coming home each night! Everything was very clean and extremely well kept, and we enjoyed staying in a traditional Japanese-style ryokan during our stay in Osaka. The location is fantastic, right in the middle of Dotonbori, and within an easy half a mile from Namba Station, Kuromon Market, Nippombashi Station, and tons of shopping and tourist attractions. Can’t recommend enough, and we will definitely be back when we return to Osaka!

Great location with very friendly and helpful staff. The view over the canal was a great place to sit and drink tea/coffee. This place would not be ideal for those with mobility issues as it is more traditional and you sleep on floor mattresses.

Very nice place, first time to experience the traditional Japanese ryokan inn here in Japan. Room is big, clean , comfortable futon bed, nice tatami- mat and near to restaurant.

Clean and great location

We have stayed in a ryokan once before and i remember the futons being so comfortable! Unfortunately these were not comfy. It may be time to replace them. Also didn't love the pillows. Other than that, it was a great stay. Very clean, very helpful staff, the onsen was tiny, just one small hot bath but it was clean and no one else was using it when we went at night. There is one for men and one for women and its open until midnight i believe. You do need to be in by 1am when they lock the front doors to the hotel. It's in a great area of the dotonburi, and the subway is fairly close. They were happy to keep our luggage on check in and check out days. They also informed us of an express bus down the street that takes you to the airport, which was super helpful because the airport is far away.

The staff was incredibly sweet. Even though I had the "Do Not Disturb" sign on the door, they still left fresh toiletries and snacks at the door along with a thoughtful note. I also used the luggage service, which was handled smoothly and made everything so easy. Thank you for the warm hospitality! I definitely recommend this ryokan for its cleanliness, affordability, and exceptional service.
