The location is perfectly in between the Nara Park and the shopping streets (and the train stations). The staff were friendly and helpful, explained anything clearly to us and shared cultural knowledge. We got to participate in a Japanese dance workshop and origami folding which both adults and kids enjoyed. The room itself was spacious, clean, and with comfortable bedding. The common kitchen and bath house added convenience and new experience too. We only wish that the TV had some English channels. The toilet seat was not attached, one of the window latches was missing, and the room was generally in poor condition. The room was smoking, even though the info on hotels.com made no mention. After booking a new hotel I canceled the 2nd night. The owner refused to give any refund saying, "Its' a cheap hotel."
