The only strong point of TownePlace Suites near Cal Expo is the convenient location. Unfortunately, the property feels outdated and my room (3108) was messy. The shower backsplash was cracked, the toilet paper holder misaligned, and the carpet worn.
I emailed photos to the front desk manager, Alison, as requested, but never received a response. There was also a false fire alarm one night.
Overall, there is significant room for improvement in both maintenance and customer service.

Friendly staff and right in the heart of the downtown area. However the elevator didn’t work to or from the garage and there also no mention of how close it is to the active rail road tracks.
