Great food, gorgeous rooms and lobby. Staff almost caused me to miss my train: I asked them to schedule a taxi pickup for me the night before. They promised they would ... and did nothing. Then they struggled to get a cab to the door because of construction on site. Pretty ridiculous. They also were completely unhelpful about knowing the neighborhood and where, say, a grocery store is.

Swimming pool was closed (not informed beforehand). Half the equipment in the gym did not work (3 treadmills all out of order). The Chinese restaurant on site was closed every day during our stay (Thurs-Sat). The all-day coffee shop was barely staffed. The bar was never open. The air conditioning did not work. This hotel promises a lot but delivered a very poor experience.

Gutes Hotel mit Potenzial

Ein gutes Hotel vor Ort mit gutem und reichhaltigen Frühstücksbuffet. Leider ist das Schwimmbad seit einem Jahr ohne Wasser, angeblich wegen Renovierungsarbeiten. Ich würde eher sagen wegen Abwanderung und ungenügender Gästezahlen, eigentlich schade. Der Fitnessraum verfügt über moderne und teuere Fitnessgeräte, wobei einzelne Geräte leider nicht gewartet werden und dementsprechend sind. Laufbänder, Ergofahrrad und Stepper bzw. Crosstrainer sind sehr empfehlenswert.

The Ordos Crowne Plaza was an opportune occasion for a bit of order in Ordos. Indeed, a paltry price procured a prize positioned prospect well placed; a recommendation worth the reckoning.

Great Hotel pity about the staff

The hotel is great and has great facilities. However,most of the staff don't speak any English at all, and the level of English of those that do speak it is extremely limited.When I tried to check in I was told that Expedia had not paid for the hotel and wanted to charge me again.To try and sort this out took over two hours to sort out. Never the less on checking out they told me I had to pay for one nights stay.This was eventually sorted out again.You cannot even order food or drinks verbally everything has to be through sign language.There is nothing for a Westerner in this area of China unless you are travelling on business/Conference . Would not return to the area unless I had to.
