During its tasteful renovation project in 2003, Casa Da Esquinha was transformed into a modern 'upside down house'. The en-suite air conditioned bedroom is located on the ground floor, keeping it cool in the summer and warm in the winter. The open plan living room and kitchen are on the first floor with convenient large french style windows opening onto the sun drenched terrace with BBQ and outside dining. This south facing property benefits from the abundant Algarve sunshine all year round. The upper roof terrace is an added bonus and a great place to sip a glass of wine or a beer and top up your tan! Wi Fi is provided at no extra cost! I recommend bringing a tablet or large phone to enable you to watch all your favourite channels. All the attractions that entice holiday makers to Olhao are on the door step. The sea is about 100 metres away as are the famous markets. The restaurants, coffee shops and bars are literally just around the corner, in fact, as everything is so convenient, you may decide that you do not need a car. Please note, like the vast majority of Olhao townhouses, the stairs are narrow and steep, though not plentiful. Seit 10 Jahren bin ich angeblich die erste, die sich beschwert. In den Wänden ist Schimmel. Ich habe eine Luftmatratze bekommen und im oberen Stock geschchlafen. Die Vorgänge waren verschimmelt, ich habe mit Fotos alles gemedet, was ich gesehen habe und wurde an den Verwalter verwiesen, also lief die Kommunikation außerhalb der App. Es wurde die Schuld auf die Reinigungskraft, die Vormieter und schließlich mich selbst (nach dem Motto alles Einbildung) geschoben. 3 Freunde von mir waren auch in Olhao. Die waren auch entsetzt vom Schimmel. Deren beiden Häuser hatten keinen Schimmel. Die obere Terrasse dient als Abstellraum für alte Liegen und Sonnenschirme. Bettzeug und Handtücher waren sauber, Küche ganz gut ausgestattet, Kühlschrank sauber. In der Waschmaschinentür war schwarzer Glibber. Im Schrank Lebensmittel der Vormieter, ein halbes Glas Tomatensauce. Alles nicht gepflegt. Ich habe dem Besitzt empfohlen, sich das mal anzuschauen. Es ist ein original kubisches Stadthaus und es sit eine Schande, es herunterkommem zu lassen. Am vorletzten Abend ist einer der Plastikstühle untet mir zusammengebrochen und ich habe mir ziemlich wehgetan. Es wurde gefragt, ob ich medizinische Hilfe brauche, das war zum Glück nicht der Fall und in einem Atemzug, dass die Stühle nicht auf den Balkon gehören. Es sind die grünen Stühle auf den Fotos. Bedroom being downstairs was perfect as it was lovely and cool with ensuite there also. Good bed linen and towels and apartment was well equipped. Patio doors open out onto balcony from living and kitchen are. which gets the sun mostly all day. Great roof terrace too. Yes the stairs are steep but you get used to them. So close to bars, restaurants and supermarket. Had the best time and would definitely recommend ##### Paula J. Die enge Treppe zum Küchen-und Wohnbereich muss man mögen, aber dafür gibt es dann einen tollen Balkon und eine Dachterrasse. Die Einrichtung ist zweckmäßig, es wurde an alles gedacht. Allerdings empfehlen wir, das Haus nur zu zweit zu nutzen, da es nur ein Badezimmer abgehend vom Schlafzimmer gibt. Ansonsten ist man Mitte drin im Ortsgeschehen in hat absolut kurze Wege, zur Markthalle, zum Flanieren und zum Hafen. Man kann überall gut es, allerdings hat es uns am besten im Hafengebiet bei Paixe&Pao gefallen. Ursprünglich, freundlich und nicht so hektisch und laut, wie bei vielen Restaurants an der Promenade. Parken ist entgeltlich möglich (Hochsaison), in der Nebensaison gibt es auch noch kostenlose Parkplätze im Hafengebiet. Leider gibt es dort auch immer wieder aufdringliche Parkplatzanweiser. Wir haben hier eine schöne Zeit verbracht und würden die Unterkunft aufgrund der Lage wieder buchen. Die Kommunikation mit dem Vermieteter klappte einwandfrei. Neil hat uns eine sehr gute Einführung übermittelt. ##### Dirk P. This lovely renovated fisherman's house is absolutely perfect for a winter stay.With the balcony off the lounge and the rooftop terrace you are guaranteed sun all day.We stayed for the winter so were very happy. The location is brilliant, everything is on your doorstep, including a 3 minute walk to Pingo Doce, the nearest supermarket. If you are any way infirm you need to speak with Neil before booking as the stairs are quite narrow and steep, my husband is 70 and had no problem. We had plenty of hot water when showering and the WiFi was excellent for streaming the tv. The equipment was great, but, if you intend cooking a lot, be aware there is no oven. We made do with the microwave and hob and obviously there are some fantastic restaurants to eat out at or for deliveries. We would definitely stay again. ##### Jacquie T. We particularly like Olhao, the terrace off the kitchen/lounge was particularly pleasant for an early morning coffee. The roof terrace ideal for relaxing. The only challenge is the stairs that could prove difficult for someone less able. ##### Andrew H. The apartment was nicely decorated, with traditional Portuguese style, making it feel very cozy. The location was perfect—just a short walk to the waterfront, local markets, and some amazing restaurants. I enjoyed wandering the narrow streets filled with colorful buildings and finding hidden gems. The host was very welcoming and They were easy to communicate with and always ready to help. Overall, this rental was comfortable, convenient, and charming. I highly recommend it for anyone wanting to explore Olhão! ##### Alanah J.
