Located on a snowmobile trail, minutes from McCauley Mtn, hiking, climbing, shopping. Plenty of restaurants, pubs, shops,bakeries. Cabin is comfortable, clean, modern, and private with 3 large bedrooms, 2 full bathrooms, new kitchen, 2 large porches, smart tvs, wifi. Our intent was to find some snow to XC ski and snowshoe which there was plenty! We snowshoed right from the house out back through the woods to the Red Dog tavern- we never did go in but is a short 0.4 mile walk. We XC skied at McCauly mountain one day which was nice but then we found Fernwood park in Inlet (the next town over right down the road from the house) which was a beautiful place to XC ski. The check in process was efficient and easy and Katherine was very responsive and helpful. The home is well kept with a front and back porch, a well-stocked kitchen and nicely appointed bedrooms with large closets and great mattresses. The home was a perfect place for us and would definitely consider coming back. Two pubs to visit- Screaming Eagle in Inlet which has one of the largest tap beer selections I have ever seen and Daiker's, a snowmobilers heaven located right on the lake. Both are fairly close to the house but a drive. Thank you, Katherine for your hospitality, and for those of you who are on the fence- book it! ##### Leslie B. Great communication from host. We loved our stay. The property was private and felt intimate. Surrounded by nature and fresh air this property encouraged relaxation. The host Kate was, responsive, kind, and kept us in the loop before and during the trip. The self check in and check out was seamless. We loved the fire pit and corn hole board. The house is updated, clean and comfortable. There were 4 adults on our trip and more than enough space. Everything that you’d need was provided. The WiFi was fast and had great range. Someone who worked from home would have no problem at all with WiFi speeds. It’s a 4 minute drive to Inlet, 15 minutes to the town of Old Forge, and 20 minutes from McCauley mountain.
