Old Chain of Rocks Bridge Tours and Activities

There are certain things we expect to find in a motel room. A suitcase rack or bench to keep your suitcase off the floor and off the bed. None in our room and apparently none in any of the rooms. We used the ironing board. Risky. For the two of us, elderly, we only had a small computer chair and a straight back chair, most motels offer a soft overstuff chair. So no place for one person to sit except on the bed. Not enough lighting in the room. Difficult to adjust the room thermostat. And the thermostat had a large lit up screen that could not be dimmed for sleeping. It was like having a floodlight shining on you all night. We wouldn’t recommend this hotel/motel to anyone.

Nice place to stay. Safe place to stay. Police department is right across the street. They also use the same parking lot garage. Beds are good. Room was clean. Staff was friendly. They served a continual breakfast.

OK place to stay if you want to explore the city outside of downtown - there's a great Kaldi's close by for morning coffee. Be aware that it's a very dated property (ceiling tiles in my room were bowed, bathroom shelving was coming apart, etc.) and parking is not great, especially if you're checking in for a weekend when there will be a larger crowd for the restaurant that shares the parking lot and/or a wedding on the property.
