It took a very long time to check in as the system wasn't working and the staff member clearly couldn't be bothered and she was rude. The room was cold nad had a smell like a public toilet. Used to be a very good hotel but it's gone down hill.

Lovely little inn in very quiet location (though easy to get to Halifax).
Room was great size, good facilities, bed was comfy! We had a nice view of a sheep field.
Cooked breakfast was only available Friday - Sunday, but we were provided with a little cool bag of breakfast items which was unexpected bonus.
We only stayed one night for an event in Halifax, but would definitely stay again and for longer.
