  • Makai 214 is conveniently located on the Bayfront at 42nd Street and is within walking distance to Convention Center events and concerts, popular dining, shops and the beach. This 2 BR condo has a wonderful view of the bay and neighboring tropical landscaping from your balcony. The master bedroom has a King, bedroom 2 has 2 single beds, and the living room has a Queen sleep sofa, making the sleeping capacity 6. Each bedroom & the living area have a TV for your viewing pleasure. The building has two elevators serving all floors, an indoor pool, and an adult fitness center and billiards room. This condo has Wi-Fi in the unit for your use. Guest supplies bed linens, towels, paper goods and soaps. For your convenience, there is a washer and dryer in the unit. An optional linen package is available for this property. Linens would be delivered to the condo for your arrival. A set would include a sheet set for each bed and a towel set for the occupancy of the condo. You will be able to add this option to your reservation for a fee if you wish.
    This property has Thursday and Sunday check in and check out in season and rents any 3 nights off season. Property comes with 2 parking spots.
    Our property owners do not permit group rentals to guests under the age of 25.
    Non-smoking/vaping unit, including balcony. No pets!

My family enjoyed it. Great location. Indoor pool was fun for kids and beach is an easy short walk. Restaurants,bank and mini golf are all in walking distance. It had security for the weekend so it felt very safe.

Small But Nice

Four of us stayed in this condo and even though it was small, it worked for us. The only downfall was the dryer was not working and we were not made aware of this. I would’ve packed a few extra things had I known I couldn’t do any laundry while there. The beds were comfortable, and the condo was nice.

Makai - will not stay again

This property smelled from the time you walk through the front doors . Step into the elevator and it looks like it has not been cleaned in months . As we got on to our floor ( 2nd floor), it smelled like mold . The rug looked like it was not vaccuumed or washed for months . As entering our suite , the room was spacious but the dishes were dirty, headboard was gross , and bathrooms were not clean . The AC ran all night and was loud .

Great rental!

A few friends and I have been doing an annual trip to OC. We’ve stayed at Makai 2 times so far and think it’s great. Location is super convenient. Close to a lot of the good restaurants and bars. Condo itself could have been a little better kept but definitely a nice place to stay. Will return next year!!

A great value and outstanding view

This place was an excellent value for my family. Having access to a pool and a nice size condo with excellent sunset views makes me wanting to return as soon as time allows!

Missing the Mark

We stayed in this condo in July 2020 and we will not return. The property has a disheveled feel to it. If the owner just put a little more effort into the furnishings and cleanliness, this would be a great condo. I sent a list of the items that needed to be corrected to the owner, so hopefully those will be taken care of. The fact that there is a 19in combo VHS tape/TV set in the second bedroom is a prime example of the owner not caring enough to invest. Considering there are flat screens in the living room and master, I cant’t figure out the reason to leave such an outdated tv in the second bedroom. Suffice to say, we didn't watch it. Also, the TV and cable cords are hanging and present a choking hazard for small children. On a positive note, the beds were very comfortable in both bedroom, so we slept well. We enjoyed the location of the condo but all of the other small items added up to us not wanting to return.

Pefect for a quick getaway

Place was just as advertised online. It was perfect for my family of 5. However the bed in the master bedroom needs to be replaced as it was NOT comfortable at all. The tub in the main bathroom gets backed up easily. Those were the only issue we encountered. Check in was slightly hectic but that was easily overcome. Overall it was very nice for our quick getaway.

Great location, clean property, great for families!

Our location was perfect and the facility was clean. Only suggestion for the owner is to get room darkening curtains for master bedroom because the neighboring hotel keeps very bright lights at night.
