Everything about the hotel we loved. Staff was friendly, clean, quiet. Conveniently close to restaurants and main square (Zocalo). Would definitely recommend this hotel.

Loved it!

All was excellent but , especially, Erika, at the front desk, who helped us on so much and always with a smile. The servers at breakfast were also very, very good. Great room with strong shower and comfortable chairs outside, looking at the shaded courtyard.

XTILU is such a gem! This lovely hotel is on a quiet street, just a short walk from the heart of Centro. The staff are outstanding, and the restaurant serves up some of the most innovative food in Oaxaca! Be sure to visit before the secret gets out!

Great staff very attentive, rooms need more amenities like, mini fridge, iron boards, irons, I’m glad they have ear plugs for the noises. Hot water took awhile to come out. Overall I’d stay here again for location.

Super quiet place in excellent location

It was a nice experience. Very friendly staff. Breakfast was well served and good options. Comfortable bed and duvet. Love the upstairs terrace just make it more cozy and with better outdoor furniture. Your lock box in the room needs and upgrade.

We stayed 7 nights and paid about $290 Canadian per night. For that price Xtilu lacked the basic amenities all other hotels provide as standard. Xtilu did not have a fridge, water kettle to make hot water, coffee maker, cups, iron in the room. Their restaurant closes after 2 pm. We could not even get hot water after that. In the restaurant the cups for coffee and tea were without handles. The staff was very polite and helpful. The breakfast was good. We would not stay there again.

we checked in after 3 pm and one of the two rooms was not ready and we had two wait 1 hour to get into the room. bed sheets were dirty and the staff could not change the sheets because the cleaning personal was not at the Hotel, we had to sleep without bed sheets, clean sheets were brought the next day. we had a sick person with us and we asked for late check out to give the person the opportunity to stay in bed until return trip. request was declined. we asked several times for late check out due to the sickness of our friend but no exceptions were made. On the other hand the restaurant and kitchen staff was wonderful and extremely nice. We would not recommend the Hotel due to the lack of professional attention and handling during our 3 night stay.

Meh. Choose again.

Arriving at the hotel, you are presented with a person size door set in an enormous wood door. Unfortunately the person size door requires a high step to get over the threshold and then one must lift your luggage through as well. It is not a quiet place.Each morning 3 or 4 jets leaving the airport passed almost over the hotel.The rooms are adequate, comfortable beds, good A/C, decent WIFI and plentiful hot water.The bath amenities are below average.The room doors are a problem.They look nice but do not have a soft close and it’s very easy to accidentally slam them which reverberates throughout the hotel.All rooms have this issue so you hear your neighbors coming and going.My biggest gripe with the hotel is lack of attentive management.I checked in on a Tuesday and there was a large, loud party on Friday evening.I was not aware of any planned event until I was leaving to meet friends for dinner and noticed lots of activity on the roof terrace, bar set up, grills for food and a DJ.I happened to pass one of the hosts who told me about the party.The party was in full swing when I returned.The music did end at 11 but there was a full hour of goodbyes and selfies virtually outside my door followed by the staff breaking down the bar and cooking apparatus.I asked the front desk to have a manager meet me in the morning and was met with a blank stare and a mumbled response.I was gifted a second breakfast the following morning, which I sent back.No management contact ever.

Es la segunda vez que me hospedo en Xtilu y todo está muy bien, las habitaciones son cómodas, está limpio, el lugar es bonito y agradable. El desayuno es bueno y los chicos que atienden en el restaurante son muy amables y serviciales. Mi única queja es con la gente de la recepción, son muy poco amables, siempre con mala cara, contestan muy a fuerza y no hacen mucho por ayudar. Llegamos muy temprano, como 9 am y ya habia avisado que así sería. Nos abrió un chico la puerta y nos dijo el check in es a las 3 y casi casi nos cierra la puerta en la nariz. Sólo eso pondría de pero, que la gente que atiende en recepción sea más dispuesta y más servicial. Por whats siempre me atendieron bien y me ayudaron con transporte del aeropuerto, tours, etc. Deberían ser amables siempre.

Cama matrimonial (no lo vimos al reservar)muy pequeña a pesar de que el cuarto es muy grande, las puertas de madera de los cuartos los huéspedes las azotan con fuerza el ruido de puertas fue muy intenso por 3 horas! A las 3 am por 1 hora pelea de perros deduzco de los vecinos pues el cuarto estaba al fondo no se oía el tráfico, en donde se sirve el desayuno la música tecno estaba como discoteca! Eran las 8:40 am, deben poner amortiguadores en las puertas de madera, NO hay niños pero los adultos hicieron mucho más ruido!!!
