Northside Vacation Packages

The stuff here is nice, but my stay in October 26 was far different than September 25. My room, 212, had tiles falling off the wall and sitting on the floor, the room was showing age, the bed wasn’t comfortable and I couldn’t control the temp in the room. I booked based on a fabulous staff the year before and this stay stunk. I informed the front desk and got an “I’m sorry”, but no follow up or anything.

Rooms completely renovated. View of the lake from back was beautiful. Hot tub and sauna were excellent!

Rates and fees were very confusing. Night to night the rental price fluctuated wildly. Then there were additional fees that added a significant amoubt to a four night stay. When they say tiny cabin they mean it. So just be aware that if you are into "glamping" it might not be for you. Musty/mildew smell from the bath (I think) permeated the space as did the smell from the refrigerator. Not unexpected from a trailer cabin in the woods. Bright spots included WiFi, coffee, tea snd snacks renewed daily, free firewood and a very nice outdoor setting. No TV...so if that's important bring a device and stream things. Nice little blue tooth radio though. Overall - a good place to use as a home.base if you are biking, hiking, kayaking, fishing, or just exploring South Haven. Just don't expect it to be more than it is.
