Immaculately presented and wonderful staff, especially George from reception who made it his personal goal to solve a technical issue for me which was above and way beyond anything I have ever experienced from any hotel staff anywhere in the world. I would definitely stay there again. The hotel is also in an excellent location in Athens

Reception staff were never welcoming or friendly, advised early arrival at 11am and they said they would advise if the room was quicker but nothing until asking again at check in time. Never once said hello when coming in or going out, were there for 6 nights. Asked for additional water for the room and directed to the bar, not helpful when provided by room cleaning staff. Rooms were clean but the shower screen was tiny and meant the bathroom was constantly soaking and well flooded after the family showered. Sharp filters all over the bottom of the swimming pool where you would constantly scrape and painfully bash your feet. Very few loungers. Breakfast was average, yes fresh but typical buffet you would get in any hotel so unsure of reviews prior and why they say it’s so great. Frankfurter type sausages and a lot of sweet items, so at least the kids were happy! Orange at the machine was incredibly watery. Bar staff were functional with one friendly lady, Maria Captain who was the only one to ever seem to engage beyond taking orders. Bar and food was significantly higher prices than central Athens which was a theme in the area. Only ordered once. Artion was a short walk and one of the best restaurants around (amazing moussaka and cakes looked wonderful) , slightly more upmarket was Siama a slightly longer walk away, others in the area were not as nice or welcoming. Picked this hotel based on reviews and it didn’t live up to the expectations which was a shame.

Stunning property nestled between a couple of other related properties. Very quiet and beautiful grounds, rooms and accommodations. The staff are incredible; friendly, welcoming and eager to help make the stay a pleasure - and it was. We spent 5 days here; 5 days of that truly decadent breakfast, 5 days enjoying the luxurious grounds and service. Lana and the staff here made us feel like family. Arkoudi, the nearby town, is wonderful and has some great restaurants and a really nice bay beach if you find you want to explore outside this Grecotel resort area. My work brought us here, and it's been a lovely discovery - we would like to return to the area and the Mandola Rosa for another trip in the future!
