Ki Time - in Kingscote 850m to the beach

"This place was perfect for us. I had 2 young grandies with me and the play area out the back was the added bonus. No complaints. The host was receptive to any messages I sent. I particularly liked that the kitchen was well equipped and all spaces were very clean. We liked the location, as from there, it was easy to navigate around the island. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will be back."

"Definately pet friendly with a huge backyard for them to run around in. If your dog is a digger, just use the two logs to block the bottom of the gate. Great walking paths not far from the beach, and the beach is beautiful. The house was clean and tidy when we arrived. All bedrooms are very roomy and comfortable with large windows. The main bedroom has a Super King size bed(amazing), and a bathroom attached with shelving and hanger space in between.Bathrooms were clean and both showers are great, and the two toilets were clean as well. The large kitchen has all the utensils you would need for cooking and the large table is perfect. Two TVs, one in main lounge and another in sitting room off the kitchen. Lounge is very comfy.Backyard is huge, lots of birds, and a resident Koala. Two areas to sit, either under the verandah or under the large tree.Outside washer and dryer with a sink, cupboards and dog toys in the drawers. A clothes line and a clothes airer, too.We only needed to contact the host once, it was a very quick reply from Kevin, and Sabine came over within 20 minutes and helped us out.A great time on KI with Sabine's Place as the home base, close to Kingscote and great walking trails.Overall, we have stayed at 4 different places around KI and will be sure to rebook Sabine's Place as the house and area are awesome and the hosts are great. Thanks, again to Sabine and Kevin, for a great holiday."

Frequently asked questions

What is the best area to stay in North Coast Western End?
The best areas to stay in North Coast Western End are Port Lincoln and Coffin Bay, both offering distinct experiences for travellers.Port Lincoln is the largest town in the region, serving as a hub for visitors. It's situated on Boston Bay and offers a range of accommodation, dining, and activity options. The town centre, particularly along Tasman Terrace, features many shops and restaurants, and the Port Lincoln Marina is a focal point for many water-based activities. It's a convenient base for exploring the wider Eyre Peninsula.Families will find Port Lincoln particularly appealing due to its comprehensive facilities and activities. There are parks, beaches like Shelly Beach, and opportunities for wildlife encounters, such as swimming with sea lions or tuna, which are often a big hit with children. The town also has a variety of eateries suitable for all ages. For those seeking a more relaxed coastal experience, Coffin Bay is an excellent choice. This smaller settlement is renowned for its pristine waters and, of course, its oysters. The main street is relatively quiet, with a few local shops and eateries. Many accommodations here offer direct access to the water or views of the bay.Couples looking for a tranquil getaway will appreciate Coffin Bay's peaceful setting and natural beauty. It's superb for enjoying scenic walks along the foreshore, kayaking in the calm bay, or simply unwinding with fresh seafood.
When is the best time to go to North Coast Western End?

Accommodation and tour prices can also be a bit more favourable.Summer (December to February) brings long, sunny days and warm to hot temperatures, making it ideal for beach holidays and water sports. However, it's also the busiest time, so expect more people, higher prices, and the need to book well in advance.Winter (June to August) is cooler and wetter, but still offers good opportunities for hiking and wildlife spotting. This is also the best time for whale watching along the coast.
