We stayed in a Studio. It was two 30 somethings, and a 12 month old baby. The Studio is one room, but it is big. It has a kitchen, tv, couch, and bed. There is also a long entryway (genkan) so you can put your boots and stuff. We put our baby in the crib in the corridor. It worked well. The Setsumon is very central in Hirafu and easy to get to lifts, shuttles, and convenience stores. We stayed in a studio unit with a full kitchen and a washer dryer. The room had great storage for all our ski gear. Staff were mostly English and Australians and couldn't have been more helpful. The onsen was nice. Breakfast was western and very good. Our first of hopefully many stays. A wonderful experience. Lovely, relaxed and helpful English-speaking reception and transport/transfer staff. Fabulous location handy to shops, supermarkets, eateries, ski school, chair lift and Welcome Centre (for coach transfers) which makes it all so much easier when you have (younger) children.
