The property didn't have my orbitz reservation information when I arrived. They then told me that I needed to pay an additional $50.00 on top of what I paid orbitz, a new "damage deposit charge" Upon entering the property, it was dirty. Dirty sticky hand prints on windows, Grime and dirt in the window seals and door tracks. Nothing was wiped down. There is basically no phone reception or internet except at the clubhouse. No boat rental no TV or cable. Grounds are beautiful but very run down and not well maintained. The manager was very friendly and staff helpful. The towels and linens in our small cabin were pathetic, see-through bed sheets with holes in them. Towels were rags. The cabin itself is situated right on the lake with a gorgeous view and dock. Kitchen had the basics, refrigerator, stove and microwave. According to the manager, a corporation owns this property. I cannot believe they would not put any money into this gold mine in a beautiful area. It could be so much more. All the shrubbery is overgrown and there is goose poop everywhere. the docks have signs stating proceed at your own risk. my husband and I treated this as a camping trip nothing more so we were not too disappointed with what I just described. we may return but will be looking for a place that has boat rentals which most likely will not be in this area. Peaceful lake and perfect view. Good amenities within 10 minute drive-a great gym, food, cafe, churches, large grocery store. Heating was noisy, bed kinda hard.
