It was mainly a museum, with nobody there, very creepy. I didn’t even feel safe at night. The towels were so old and dirty. The carpet was so dirty. There was dirty linens in the hallway and nobody even bother to clean it. There is no elevator and there is nobody to help you to take your luggage up. Rooms are small but efficient. Temps were 39c ,there was a fan in the room but no ac. This is common in Europe. The gentleman at the front desk was very helpful. Room was a bit pricey however it was Ironman Triathlon wekend so may have accounted for the cost. "Fairly run down maybe its a work in progress? Felt a bit like a hotel that Scooby Doo and the gang might end up in! Breakfast not great on the day we were there i think they may have been caught out. A faded grand hotel . It will do but might be worth looking around . Easy walking in to town"

"Lovely room with views of the Rhine. Food mostly very good, fortunately so, since there isn’t much nearby for dining. Breakfast felt very expensive though it was good. Staff were generally friendly and helpful. We liked the option to have €5 back for each night for not having cleaning. There was some building work going on which shook the whole building rather early in the morning! I would stay again, however."
