Afterwards, explore the town's excellent mix of eateries, from traditional fish and chips to fine dining. For a day out, head to Padstow (15 miles), where harbour views and some of Cornwall’s best restaurants await. Alternatively, lace up your boots for countryside walks from the doorstep or discover coastal trails with unforgettable views. Don’t miss the National Trust’s Trerice, a mile away, or the impressive biomes of the Eden Project (19 miles).

At the heart of the cottage is the open-plan living area, where a roaring wood burner set within a grand fireplace makes for a lovely setting to curl up after a day of exploring. The kitchen comes fully equipped for all your self-catering needs, and the intimate dining area for two invites slow suppers. Wander upstairs and you'll find a bright and airy bedroom with views over the surrounding estate for lazy lie-ins. The gleaming bathroom is a tranquil space to freshen up after countryside strolls and completes the internal layout.


Set on the edge of a courtyard, the cottage enjoys access to the estate’s expansive grounds. Spend mornings with coffee on your private patio, pick fresh vegetables from the walled garden for supper, or take a scenic walk around the woodland trails and lakeside paths. You might even find your picnic spot beneath the trees or by the lake’s edge, book in hand. Guests are also welcome to play a friendly set or two on the estate’s tennis court, or simply take in the peace and beauty that surrounds. Parking for one car is provided in the car park.
