About this property
6BR Historic Gem | Chef's Kitchen | Dogs Welcome
Step into a home where history whispers through the walls and every detail invites you to unwind. Nestled on peaceful Lindgren Drive in Newberg, The Emerald House is a lovingly restored 1909 Craftsman Four Square that blends timeless elegance with modern comfort—an ideal retreat for discerning travelers seeking beauty, serenity, and connection.
Originally built in Dundee and relocated by rail to its tranquil Newberg setting, this stately home now rests on land once part of a family dairy farm. Its story mirrors the experience it offers guests—a graceful return to what matters most: comfort, gathering, and intentional time away.
Inside, six beautifully appointed bedrooms—three with king beds and three with queen beds—and three updated full bathrooms provide spacious accommodations for up to 12 guests. Every room has been thoughtfully designed with a mix of historic charm and contemporary sophistication.
The newly renovated chef’s kitchen features high end appliances, stone countertops, and all the essentials for preparing farm fresh meals or enjoying a leisurely breakfast with local coffee and Pinot Noir views. A warm and welcoming living room with a fireplace invites conversation, while the gracious dining area sets the stage for shared meals and special moments.
Step outside to the fully fenced backyard, a private sanctuary perfect for families and guests traveling with dogs. Gather around the fire pit for evening storytelling, grill a meal on the barbecue, or relax on the covered front porch as the day winds down. Each space has been designed for comfort, connection, and a deep sense of home.
Perfectly situated in the heart of Oregon’s wine country, The Emerald House offers easy access to some of the Willamette Valley’s most beloved destinations. Just minutes from downtown Newberg, guests can explore Stoller Wine Bar, Compris Vineyard, J. Christopher Wines, Knudsen Vineyards, Parrett Mountain Cellars, and Avidity Wines, as well as boutique shops, tasting rooms, and local eateries.
For a curated experience, guests are invited to book a private wine tour with Pinot Car Wine Tours, Lifestyle Properties’ in house service offering personalized itineraries guided by knowledgeable local experts.

Beautiful house with thoughtful design and amenities. Plenty of room for our group of 7 adults and 3 kids. Tucked away in a quiet neighborhood near a local playground, dog park, downtown Newberg and wine country. Host was great at communicating.
Fabulous place to stay. We were a party of six adults: my husband and me, and our two adult children and their spouses. Excellent layout for our family. Spotlessly clean. We lacked for nothing. Easy check-in and check-out. Helpful information provided about the house and surrounding area.
