Apt is open, modern, and well equipped. Great room, open kitchen, full bathroom, and bedroom with queen size bed. Additional convertible queen size sofa for 2 . Friendly suburban town with quick access to NYC by train, bus, or auto. Train and bus short block and a half walk. A full kitchen with oven stove dishwasher frig, and micro allow for home cooking or entertaining. All dishes, wine glasses, and kitchen basics are provided, along with linens, towels and basic supplies. There is a parking spot available if needed by guest. On the first floor but several feet above street level the Apt is quiet and convenient. There are washers and dryers down one flight of steps below the Apt. The Westfield Y is close by. There are also a dozen other Yoga and other work out facilities nearby. With over 300 + businesses and services nearby there is little reason to leave town. We have a free standing Lord & Taylor Dept store two blocks away, a diner around the corner, and over 20 restaurants, bars, and other food establishments nearby. From fine dining to Chipotle, or Pizza you don't have to cook unless you want to. The Apt has hot water baseboard heat which you control and in the hot weather air conditioners that service the space. Verizon Fios with TV and WiFi fast service is provided inclusive of multiple new streaming options for the newest movies & sports if you like watching movies. We chose it because it was near restaurants and shopping in downtown Westfield NJ and a quick stroll to the commuter train to midtown Manhattan.The layout of the apartment was fine. The bedroom was spacious and comfortable and despite facing the street, was remarkably quiet!The living room sported a large, virtually new TV with a variety of options which made for enjoyable evening viewing from a comfortable couch and loveseat positioned around a nice, solid coffee table.The kitchen offered a complete array of options for in-apartment cooking. The new microwave and an upscale coffee maker were special. An adjacent dining table was perfect.We showered in the tub but overall, the bathroom met our needs.We used the washer and dryer in the basement a couple of times during our two weeks stay.. They were coin operated, clean and efficient.The apartment was quite clean. There were some small concerns that needed attention mainly dusting, but they did not detract from our stay. There was ample closet space but other than a desk there was no bureau.The apartment was secure, and we could count on a parking space in the private lot behind the building.Communication from booking to the check-in and check out processes was seamless. The renter responded immediately to our few questions.Of course our apt. was not a hotel room, but rather a nice place for us to live for two weeks. This apartment stands out for it's convenient location, in walking distance of so many shops and eateries in downtown Westfield, as well as near the train station and bus lines. The furnishings are comfortable and the kitchen has pretty much everything you will need if you want to cook in. For groceries you need only walk across the public parking lot next to the building to arrive at Trader Joe's. The small designated parking lot behind the building is also a bonus, although a bit tight for a large SUV or truck. It took me awhile to figure out how to start the shower. (Hint: the ring at the outflow of the tub spout pulls down.) Note : mobility could be an issue as there are a few steps leading to the back porch entry even for the first floor apartment. If you are not accustomed to the early noises of a bustling downtown area you might want to have earplugs available for sleeping. The bedroom A/C unit can also be used with just the fan to mute outside sounds. We enjoyed our stay there and would rent it again. ##### Claire S. The apartment was clean and very comfortable for a family of 4\. Updated with all the amenities of home including wifi, Netflix and a full kitcken. The owner, Joe was great. He met us and made sure we had everything we needed, including a welcome bottle of wine. The house is walking distance to excellent restaurants and shopping.
