Welcome to Rest at Badin Lake, your serene waterfront retreat in Badin Shores Resort. This charming 3-bedroom, 2.5-bathroom home with two living and kitchen areas, offers direct access to the water, the boardwalk, sandy beach, and day slips. Enjoy boating, water sports, and fishing on the 5300-acre lake or experience the resort's many amenities including a saltwater pool, sport courts, sand volleyball and fishing pond. With the provided essentials, Wi-Fi, and a fully equipped kitchen, your stay promises comfort and relaxation in the private gated community. Consider extending your adventures into the nearby Uhwarrie National Forest where you will find fantastic hiking, biking, ATV trails and much more. Also only ~35 minutes to the NC Zoo.

The Space:

Easy access to the main level with 3 extended steps where you will find the upper living room (with Queen sofa bed) and dining area and a well-stocked kitchen. Also on this level is a king bedroom with an en-suite full bath boasting a dual vanity, jetted tub and separate shower. You will also find a covered porch featuring a 36" Blackstone griddle/grill and outdoor dining table with fabulous elevated lake views.

The lower level features a second kitchen and living area (with Queen sofa bed) and two Queen bedrooms, shower bathroom, laundry room, and a walk out patio with fire pit area, mere steps from the lake. You will be able to access the lower level via an interior staircase, exterior staircase, or a sloped concrete path with a zero-step entry. Sip your favorite beverage and reminisce with your favorite people in the comfortable outdoor seating area, roast marshmallows in the fire pit or play games on the shaded grassy lawn.



Parking:

There is a generous parking pad at the home that will accommodate up to 3 large vehicles (think full sized pickup trucks and SUVs). Please reach out if you need to bring more than 3 vehicles into the resort as there are specific lots in which you can park.

The Resort:

Badin Shores Resort is a private gated community with modular houses, tiny homes (Park models), and some RVs. The well managed and maintained resort boasts an impressive variety of amenities including:

Marina with day slips (subject to availability, first come first served with a 3-hour maximum, no overnight use)

Sandy beach ~5 minute stroll down the scenic boardwalk

Huge seasonal saltwater pool (with separate kiddie pool), usually open Memorial Day - Labor Day. Pool area is monitored, but there are no lifeguards.

On-site restaurant Joey's Grill and Tap ~60 second walk

Sport courts (basketball, sand volleyball, ball field)

Horseshoe pits

18-hole putt-putt course

Other Important Things to Know:

Caution: For those of you with young children please be aware this property is truly waterfront and although there is a grassy lawn for play, it sits mere steps from deep water with no protective barriers.

This is a 100% non-smoking property. Smoking of any kind (including tobacco, marijuana, or vaping) is strictly prohibited inside the home, on balconies, patios, or within 10 feet of the building. A $300 smoking fee will be charged if any evidence of smoking is found, including lingering odor, ashes, or cigarette butts. Additional cleaning or remediation costs may also apply. 

Primary renter must be 25 years of age to book the property, and must provide the names of all members of the party over 16 years of age during the check-in process so we can register visitors with the guard shack for entry into the resort. Each member of the party 16 and above will need to provide state issued ID to the security guard when entering the resort.

We have partnered with Truvi to handle the mandatory $500 security deposit. In lieu of the security deposit you can purchase damage waiver directly through Truvi.

We welcome up to two of your canine family members (each under 50 pounds) - additional fees and pet specific requirements apply which are strictly enforced.

In order to fish you will need a NC fishing license available on-line or from various physical locations such as Badin Lake General Store, Walmart, and others.

There are two youth kayaks with basic orange life jackets available free of charge to use at your own risk. Request our list of add-ons for equipment available for an additional charge.

You may bring a boat or other motorized personal watercraft into the resort, however, there is a $50 fee that will be charged by the resort at the guard shack. You may request a "gas pass" at the guard shack for the purposes of taking your boat out to refuel without having to pay another fee when re-entering. Fuel is also available on the water at Old North State Marina and Scallywags. There is a boat launch in the resort and day slips are available on a first come, first served basis for 3 hours at a time. There are two gravel lots where you can park your boat over night for a maximum of 72 hours. If you will be in the park for more than 72 hours you will need to move your boat to the other lot. Please reach out for more details if you are bringing a watercraft into the resort.

The nearest full grocery store is ~15 minutes away but there is a Dollar General and seasonal produce stand nearby where you can find much of what you would need. There are also two general stores close by (one at the entrance to the neighborhood) where you can find basic necessities.



This is a quiet family-oriented neighborhood with a strict NO PARTY policy so come and have fun but please book your wild parties somewhere else.

For your protection and safety, there are 5 security cameras on the exterior of the property. One is directed toward the parking pad, one at the main entrance walkway, one in the storage area underneath the deck, one on the far side of the house, and one covering the back yard.
