The Cistercian Monastery of Neuzelle is already considered one of the most complete Baroque monasteries north of the Alps.
With the return of authentic Cistercian monks (from Heiligenkreuz Abbey, Austria), the site is evolving into one of the most significant spiritual centers in the German-speaking world.
The new monastery building currently under construction (a major European project) is turning Neuzelle into an emerging retreat hotspot, comparable to Benediktbeuern, Heiligenkreuz, or Maria Laach.
