"Peaceful retreat! We booked this short getaway as an end of summer ‘breather’ before the school year began. What we loved? The house sits right on the lake with private dock. Anytime of day it was nice to fish, tube, boat, or just sit with a cup of coffee. It was serene and beautiful. The house is just right in size. We loved how quaint it was and we weren’t so far apart from one another. The hot tub was big and was great to warm up under the stars after being on the lake. S’mores ingredients ready at the house welcomed us and was a great touch. Each room was comfortable with large beds, tvs, and WiFi. The screened in porch was nice at sunset to sit and lake watch without the bugs. There were some areas in the bathrooms that were mildewed and baseboards not thoroughly wiped and mildewed shower curtains. Par for the course with lake houses I guess but at the price point would have loved the bathrooms to be a bit more clean/updated. But, overall clean. The house is 6 min from Bushkill falls. We loved it and took our dog. Not many stores or restaurants nearby. All were about 20-30 minutes from the house. Better to stock up and bring food n cook however, the host suggested a local food store and pizza place about 15-20 minutes. The host was super communicative and checked in often. There is a lake beach down the street. I wish I had brought beach chairs as it would have been quiet and relaxing. Great peaceful retreat. Great hosts."

"The house was very clean. The host was very responsive. My only feedback would be there was only 1 small spoon so we had to buy plastic spoons and the front yard needed some curb appeal- lots of weeds and the address marker was falling over but I’m sure that can all be easily addressed. The back yard was great and the inside was perfect!"

"My family had a great vacation at Old Mallard! Traveling with 2 little ones, this home had everything we needed to enjoy our stay. The pool and hot tube were prefect hang out spots for both kids and adults. The lake is quiet and so relaxing. Definitely recommend!"

"We enjoyed direct access to the pond and use of the kayaks - we went out fishing and paddling around usually twice per day - so relaxing. We also used the fire pit every evening and really enjoyed it. The community is very well maintained, and the house is very comfortable."
