424, Price's Place, is a Nags Head Vacation Rental Home that is nestled in the relaxing, water-side community of Old Nags Head Cove. This rental home is very close to the beach and just a short walk to the community pool (can be used for a nominal fee). This Outer Banks Rental Home also provides quick access to the sound-side beach, basketball hoops, volleyball court, and more. Price's Place is at the center of this Old Nags Head Cove community.

This OBX Rental Home provides 4 bedrooms including 1 kids room with pyramid bed (twin on top and full on bottom) and twin. The bedrooms are divided with two on the left and two on the right side of home, sharing a newly renovated bathroom between each pair. "Price's Place" offers a private backyard, secluded by nature, with plenty of space for the family to enjoy outside activities while taking advantage of the outside grill and picnic area. The front and back decks provide ample space for sunbathing, while the front deck allows for a relaxing escape from the sun. This home also features a variety of amenities to keep the entire family entertained, including high-speed WiFi, laundry area, bedding options to accommodate a variety of family sizes, fully stocked kitchen, fish cleaning area, and more!

Old Nags Head Cove is a wonderful OBX sound-front community with boating canals and has a central Nags Head location that is close to the beach (w/ lighted pedestrian cross-way), Jockey's Ridge Dunes (featuring a new bike path leading there), restaurants, historical sites like the Wright Brothers Memorial and Bodie Island Lighthouse, Outlet Mall Shopping, water sports, and so much more to keep entertained for your entire stay!

*All of our homes in the Old Nags Head Cove Community have access to the ONHC Clubhouse which offers a Nags Head Sound-Front pool for $6 per person per day or $135 for the entire week for a group up to 6. The association also offers a club house, sound front picnic area, sound front basketball & volleyball court, a boat ramp on Albacore St ($45 per boat plus $10 key deposit), and a private sound-front beach access area.

** To keep rental costs down, this OBX home does not provide linens. However, a linen package can be provided for an extra fee. Please contact Cove Realty of Nags Head for more information on this home's linen rental package. Also, Cove Realty is a Green company that limits excessive waste.  As such, linens, toiletry items, cleaning supplies, and so forth, are not supplied at the rental home, so please be mindful to bring these with you or be ready to purchase upon arrival to the Outer Banks.

Hope the get better

Check in was nice. Got to check in a few hours early witch was really nice. When picking up the keys to the property. The management company (cove realty) said " that there has been a little construction do e on the house but there not done yet". So get to the house dumpster in the front yard siding and foam board all over the right side of the car port by the picnic table. Wood on the right side of the car port all over. Back deck had no steps or handrails with a pick set up in the air. So no using the back yard for anything durning our stay. They did come and put screw inthe door so my 4 year old would not go out the door Found about 10 to 15 nails in the driveway and around the steps leading up to the front door. Got one nail in a tire and had to go get it fixed. Went to try to get into the pool and was denied be at the time they told me the management or the home owner didnt pay the fees. Called management on tuesday because we started see cockroaches (waterbugs) whatever they were. They did send Terminix out to spray the next day but did not call and tell me they were coming

Great location

We had such a great time staying at this house in nags head. The place was outdated but my kids said it made them feel like they were at grandmas house lol. The only downside was the beds in the main bedrooms were not very comfortable. Other than that the location was on point we were a short drive to almost everything. Can’t wait to visit again

Safety issue

Porch has no screen and nothing to prevent small children from falling to the concrete drive below. Ended up leaving, had to purchase another rental. The property mngr refunded 100%. Dont rent this house if you have small children. Also no internet, so dont rent if you have teens. There is wifi, but no paid service. Not a nice place to stay, definitely not up to my standards. Worse than i thought by reading previous reviews. For reasons that are not my place to say, the owner is not able to provide what the place needs to be nice for their guests

Awful place with horrible management

They didn't even bother cleaning. We found candy behind chairs. The house's beds were as hard as a rock, and the internet was off the entire stay. They said internet is not guaranteed, but they didn't even attempt to fix it after two tries. They simply said tough luck. I would NEVER recommend or stay with this company again. Try Twiddy instead. They have a much better management, and I have never had a badexperience with them in ten years of staying at the banks.

Just a house

Just a house nothing fancy. Beds are horrible and the internet went in and out. Had maintenance workers come unannounced 3x. One time during dinner at 630pm. But for budget price this house gets the job done.

Review

Upon arriving, there was a very bad musty smell to the place and my daughter has asthma; we called and they brought over a dehumidifier and 2 scents for the house. I noticed that the fire extinguisher in the kitchen was not recharged; so I called and told them that was very unacceptable, the lady that I spoke with response was "Do you need one right away"? They did, however, bring a charged one over, luckily. There was a small stove fire from stuff inside of the stove burner that had aluminum foil wrapped around it. So, when I called to inform the front desk of the situation, the ladies response was "Ok", not are you and your guests fine, do you need anything? No, it was a "Ok". Then we had water bugs in our house and when I called, the lady that I spoke with really didn't seem to care about it but eventually, they did send Terminex out the next afternoon. Overall, I am highly unimpressed with this house; it needs a lot of modern updates, some TLC, etc.

Great for affordable fishing trip!

Better than expected due to past reviews. Mattresses are firm and clean, look new. Cove Realty was rapidly responsive to inquiry about missing cookware. Overall, the property is older and yeah it could be updated. But we had a great time and were very happy.

Worked for what we needed

The house was very dated and smelled musty. It also lacked some necessities in the kitchen as well as furniture for the outside deck spaces. All in all we made it work and enjoyed the vacation.

You get what you pay for

This property had enough space for 10 people. We didn’t care that the decor was outdated. It appears most of the mattresses have been replaced. However, they could all use mattress pads and it would go a long way to update the beds from full size to queen size. Our biggest issue was cleanliness. We ended up clearing out all of the drawers in the kitchen, running everything through the dishwasher, and cleaning the drawers themselves. Most of the pots and pans were dirty as well. The bathrooms and fridge appeared to have been wiped down, but as soon as we put something in the fridge, the second shelf collapsed. We fixed it, but we also had to clean it because there was dirt and grime embedded in the grooves and we could see it had been a long time since someone had taken the shelves out and thoroughly cleaned them. The house itself has a urine/moldy smell, which didn’t bother us too much until we lost power for 12 hours. Then, it became almost unbearable because there was no air circulating. The internet had to be unplugged and rebooted about once a day. That may have been due to storms though. The distance to the pool and sound was very short and we loved walking each evening! We walked to the beach as well, but when we had a lot of stuff to carry, we drove and parked in the many available beach access lots that were just a mile from the house. We brought our own games and entertainment due to Covid. There is a DVD/VCR player, but no movies to watch. They do have Red Box at Food Lion. All stores and restaurants are conveniently located! Overall, it was a cheap price for the house and we enjoyed our time, but you get what you pay for.

Needs some work

The home is very dated and not super clean just due to the fact that everything is aged. Bathrooms have an old urine smell about them. Take your own pots and pans.There are some there from the 70's if you want to use them. There are signs in the bathrooms and kitchen to not use abrasives to clean because it will scratch to surfaces. To be honest that's the least they need to be worried about. For the amount of money the house makes in a month you would think the owners would want to put a little into it. Living room chair has holes in it. Beds are not comfortable and crinkle all night every time you roll over. The overall layout of the house is nice and is fairly close to the beach but can definitely use some upgrades. Previous posters had also mentioned this and when I asked before renting the management company never responded so I just figured it would be okay for our short stay but I probably wouldn't rent this one again if some upgrades weren't done first and I did let management know my concerns when I returned the keys and was told they would look into it.

The mattresses are horrible! There was urine on the bunk bed mattresses & bedspreads. There was also a pot under the sink with stagnant water in it. The housekeeping needs a lot of work. The realty company did bring out matress pads & new bedspreads. The owners really need to check on their property. Cooking was impossible due to the lack of pans, skillets & utensils. In short need improvement!!

Great place to stay with a family!

My family stayed at this house and had a great time! It was close enough to the beach that we could easily walk there and the back yard gave the kids room to run around. I loved that there were 3 showers so that everyone could shower off quickly after spending the day in the ocean. The beds were comfy and the house was big enough for all 10 of us.

I really enjoyed the stay. Had a few problems first day but was impressed how Cove took care of the issues. Only bad thing I can say is the furniture was very outdated(worn out) and the beds were smaller then we anticipated. The only other issue we really had was the swimming pool, it was very expensive and unfortunately we had to pass on it. We figured for what they was charging it really wasn't worth it. Its a small pool.The location is great.

The furniture is very uncomfortable. We put pillows under the cushions to try to help but it wasn't much better. The beds were no better.The kitchen counter is to high.The entire place needs a deep cleaning. It is very dirty.I would not consider staying in this place until those improvements are made. On the bright side the people at cove realty were very nice.

Great location, ok house, needs updating

The place was what we needed for our trip and the price was great. Backing out of the driveway was alittle strange as the house sits in the middle of a 3 way stop. The decor in the house is extremely dated, but we didn't rent the house for the decor we needed amenities and beds. We would definitely stay there again, considering the location and price.
