COTTAGE POLICIES We want your stay to be relaxing and enjoyable, so we’ve put together the following policies to ensure a smooth experience for all our guests. Please take a moment to review our guidelines before booking your stay: Booking & Minimum Stay Requirements • June-August: 7-night minimum stay, Saturday to Saturday only. • September-May: 3-night minimum stay required during our off-peak season. • October - April: Monthly “Snowbird” rental available. We’ll do our best to accommodate you, subject to availability and minimum night stay requirements. Guest Registration & Renter Requirements • Guests must provide the final guest count prior to arrival. • The Primary Renter must be 25 years or older and must reside on the premises for the duration of the rental agreement. The rental agreement will be terminated without refund if this condition is not met. • Children: Children are welcome at The Salty Dog Cottage. • No Rentals to High School Graduates/Students: The Salty Dog Cottage does not rent to high school graduates or students or to primary renters booking for high school graduates/students during High School Week or any other time throughout the year. Any reservation made under false pretenses will result in the forfeiture of payments, deposits, or rental fees, and the primary renter and guests will not be allowed to check in. Booking Confirmation • After your reservation is confirmed, a Vacation Rental Agreement will be sent. Please complete and return this form, along with a copy of the Primary Renter’s photo ID, within 24 hours to secure your booking. Pet Policy • Up to 2 dogs of any size are welcome with prior breed approval and non-refundable pet fee of $150 per dog. • A Pet Addendum will be sent for completion, along with a request for your dog's up-to-date vaccination records. • To keep our cottage flea-free, all dogs must be treated with flea and tick prevention (such as Advantage) at least 3 days prior to arrival. • Breed Restrictions: While we love all dogs, please note that some breeds may not be approved due to insurance restrictions. The following breeds are not permitted: Pit Bull, American Bully, American Bulldog, Mastiff, Cane Corso, German Shepherd, Akita, Staffordshire Terrier, Chow, Malamute, Doberman Pinscher, Great Dane, Siberian Husky, Rottweiler, Presa Canario, Wolf Hybrids, or any mixed breed of these dogs. Thank you for your understanding. • All dogs must be crated when left unattended for their safety and comfort. Quiet Hours • 10:00 PM to 7:00 AM. To ensure a relaxing stay for everyone and to be considerate of our neighbors, we kindly ask that you keep noise to a minimum during these hours. FINAL NOTE: While the guesthouse and backyard amenities are exclusive for your use, we want guests to remember that this is a pet-friendly property and kindly ask that you consider whether your dog is comfortable with other dogs on the premises before making the decision to book. We traveled far and were relieved to have the best welcome baskets for our girls, beach gear, and wonderful kitchen and living space. The Carolina room was so nice at night. My boys loved being able to fish from the backyard first thing every morning. The house is so cute. The amenities are perfect for families and couple alike. Wendy is the most gracious property manager. The area is so nice, and the house is the perfect walk to the beach. The Carolina room was perfect for morning bowls of cereal and a perfect spot to play board games with the kids. The backyard with the fire pit and dock with grill and table seating was a getaway oasis. In this day and age we so appreciate owners who understand that dogs are part of our family and we don't want to leave them behind when we travel. We have family in Little River and have been searching for years for someplace we could stay with our dogs that was just like home and we found it! And I’m here to tell you we found the absolute best place - the Salty Dog Cottage. The owners Wendy & Mark were so friendly and helpful and they truly made our stay perfect! From the fresh flowers and dog treats when we entered the cottage, to the book on the counter explaining how everything worked and where everything is. It was so clean and decorated so pretty, Wendy also gave great recommendations for places to eat and go in the area - she truly thought of everything. We have been coming to Myrtle Beach since the mid 80’s and this was our first stay in Cherry Grove. It quickly became our favorite area - we cannot wait to go back. I would highly recommend staying at the Salty Dog Cottage - literally the best cottage we ever rented from and we look forward to staying there in the future. The host and hostess have thought of everything you may need during you stay. The location was great! Pretty view of the inlet and just a short walk accross the street to the ocean. Wendy, the owner, was responsive and thought of nice extras- like welcome snacks for the humans and adults. The beds were comfortable, the kitchen well stocked for cooking meals and the porch and small grassy area was lovely. We enjoyed sitting by the propane firepit and used the Weber grill. The information notebook was helpful to find nice restaurants closeby. We picked this unit for its ability to hold six adults. One in our party was not able to attend so we had five adults. It was a tight squeeze. One of the adults tried to sleep on the fold out sofa and found it very uncomfortable. We also found the strong smell of the plug in air fresheners in parts of unit overwhelming and unpleasant. The owners live upstairs and the unit is not sound proof. You can hear walking and their dogs barking. This didn’t bother us, but renters should know this information. Overall, we had a very nice visit and would recommend, especially if you are looking for a dog friendly space close to the beach. up. ##### liz b.
