Penthouse, Two Story, 5 Balconies. Oceanfront w/ Great Views!!

This property is a personal labor of love in our family. This unit has been completely remodeled. This unit was built approximately 25 years ago when a penthouse was a penthouse. Today along the grand strand, most top-level floors are just the same as all the floors below. But this unit is completely different. To our knowledge, the Palms Resort is the only property in Myrtle Beach with two-story penthouses. Also, we know of no other property in downtown Myrtle Beach with 4 bedrooms and 4 baths. This is truly a unique vacation opportunity.

You will find a full-size kitchen to host your meals and entertain. The living room features a two-story wall of glass overlooking the beautiful Atlantic Ocean. As you relax on one of our oversized balconies, you not only will enjoy the sights and sounds of the ocean, but you will also have a one-of-a-kind view down the beach looking south. We have two oceanfront bedrooms with oceanfront balconies, and the two rear bedrooms have large windows looking down the beach and a small private balcony.

The master suite is truly in keeping with the penthouse style. You will find a king-size bed, large private balcony, a mini-bar with a refrigerator, a coffee maker, and his and her vanities. All fixtures and vanities are covered in beautiful granite and tile are throughout. Probably the best feature of the master bath is the separate shower and bath overlooking the ocean.

The kitchen is completely remodeled with natural wood cabinets covered with rare blue and silver granite. All appliances are replaced as necessary. All cooking utensils are furnished. And as said before, it is a natural for entertaining.

The furnishings throughout are in keeping with the tropical “Tommy Bahama” look. All walls are freshly repainted every winter, and there is tile floor throughout. The exception is carpeted stairs between the first and second stories for safety.

Also, any fireplaces seen in pictures are nonworking fireplaces.
This is a non-smoking unit.

Great Penthouse on the beach!

The location is ideal. Easy to get to places to eat. We walked to many of them. 4 bedrooms and 4 baths is great. We left 5 large beach towels and a couple of wave rider boards. Our family really enjoyed our one week stay.

Can't beat the Penthouse view! Dirty Don's Oysters and Soho steak and sushi a short walk. Little more lighting in rooms would be a great upgrade

Very nice

The Penthouse is the place to be. Beautiful views of the beach from several balconies. Clean, comfortable, great location. My 3 friends and I spent a week golfing in Myrtle Beach and this was a fantastic base for us. We made use of the hot tub several times. Our host Kevin was easy to communicate with and he gave us some great recommendations for the area.Great time.

Great Location and Amazing Views

The balconies were a major selling point. It was pretty spectacular waking up and stepping outside your bedroom to watch the sun rise on the ocean. The beach was right behind the building. Everything was nearby. Some of it feels dated, and for some reason was smaller than I imagined. But it was accurate based on the square footage in the listing. It has everything we needed. The sun coming through the floor to ceiling windows was a bit overpowering at times. Can you beat 4 BR and 4 baths though?! Another huge selling point for us. Appreciate the views and enough bedrooms for everyone.

Golf trip

Three families stayed here for a golf trip. The guys enjoyed the convenient location to multiple golf courses. The rest of us enjoyed the convenience of the beach and pools. There was plenty of room for everyone to have their own space, which was very important for the small kids in the group. The views from the condo are beautiful!

Perfectly spot for our group

We arrived jetlagged. Took one of Kevin's recommendations for pizza and it was delicious. The condo was perfect for a group of 4. Smaller than pictures make it appear but it was ok. The kitchen was fully stocked for making meals. We saw dolphin off the balcony two different mornings. Our group really enjoyed our vacation.

Fabulous penthouse vakay

Family shared penthouse suite for September getaway. The penthouse had all the comforts of home - well stocked kitchen , 4 bed/4 baths so everyone could spread out. TV’s in every bedroom and living room. Great views from balconies down the beach to the sky wheel. Walked to putt putt golf and ice cream shop. We played games in evenings around the large wooden kitchen table with great bench seating. Would definitely recommend and book again

Views of the Ocean

The views are breathtaking. The main room has a two story floor to ceiling window, so if u like to see the ocean , this is the place to stay. We also liked the bench setting in the dining area. That worked great for a large family and still had the views. Overall it was a nice place to stay.

Our stay was interesting. We were hit by tropical storm Debby for most of the entire week. We were lucky that the owner stayed in touch with us regularly and was extremely helpful. The Penthouse was very clean and well stocked with everything we needed. We would definitely recommend this condo to anyone.

Wanted to love the place but just couldnt

First off staying at a Penthouse I feel like you have certain expectations that this place just didn’t meet. The Pros: The location was prime, great views close to many places to eat and other entertainment. The place was very clean. The cons: The furniture was old and uncomfortable, hard to believe this would be someone’s second home. The tv downstairs had a fire stick but you could only watch the live television, and the reception was fuzzy the whole time. We couldn’t even log into our private accounts to stream movies. They had a dvd player but no dvds to watch- no rental stores anymore as everything is digital now. So in the evenings it was hard to be able to sit together and watch any tv together. The beds, all of them, were also very uncomfortable. I know this can be subjective but my husband slept in the “updated” downstairs room on night and he said it felt like a camping cot: felt like it had a hump in the middle of it. The master dresser is a hazard. The drawers are super heavy and not on tracks so it would be easy for them to fall out. The furnishings are very dated, which you can tell by pictures, but really feel this place could really be nice with some updating. We were looking for a place that we would want to come back to year after year but we were disappointed in this place. I felt like it had everything we looked for in a rental but after staying there we just wouldn’t come back without major updates.

Perfect Penthouse In The Sky

We had a family vacation planned for Myrtle Beach and came across Kevin’s listing on VRBO for this beautiful penthouse to reserve. We looked at many properties and kept coming back to this one. The pictures listed do show what it looks like but in person, it is much better. Kevin was great to work with before, during and after the trip. We arrived and were able to get to the room with ease. After the families initial awe, we ordered some food and enjoyed the first night sitting on the balconies and listening to the ocean. Great walking distance to the ocean since it is at your back door. 15-20 minute walk or so to the main downtown area. The staff was friendly. Parking garage was directly across the street and easy in and out access. We even enjoyed watching one of the boardwalk firework shows from the balconies. The only complaint I had was not staying longer as it did feel like being in your own home. 5 nights was great, additional would have been even better but as any vacation, time away is limited. I’d recommend anyone to stay here and it was the best experience we have had staying at any property. Thank you Kevin for your great attention to detail and making families feel welcomed.

Wonderful stay for vacation!

My husband and I, our boys, and a few members of my husbands side of the family stayed at this penthouse for one week. It was an amazing stay and the penthouse is absolutely beautiful with an awesome view of the ocean! We all enjoyed every minute of our vacation. The owner was very easy to communicate with, and I liked how he gave us a list of places out to eat, dates of fireworks at the beach, etc. check-in and check-out was straight to the point and simple! I definitely recommend anyone to stay at this penthouse.

Couples vacation

We had 4 couples in our group. Plenty of space for everyone so it didn’t feel too crowded. Loved the keyless entry so we could all come/go separately & not worry of losing keys on the beach. Felt very safe & secure staying here. The views from the balconies were amazing!!! Found everything we needed in the kitchen for fixing meals & snacks. Great location with many stores & restaurants within walking distance, and many dinner shows within a short drive. We had wonderful weather & really enjoyed our stay!!

Thought it was for comfy and nljist the way we expected it. Only thing was we thought there was a grill on site somewhere. Only one suggestion.. cleaning crew may want to sweep under beds and around dressers. Otherwise it was perfect!
