Staff were very friendly and rooms kept very clean. We enjoyed using the onsen, known as one of the best in the areas. We were also very happy with the selection at breakfast each day. We also enjoyed the bar downstairs and the drinks and small bites they had to offer. The hotel employees were extremely helpful and friendly. The hotel is only a short walk to the kumado ski base. The hotel pickup drop off service was great. We gave the hotel our train’s arrival time and the driver met us with a van when the train arrived! No waiting in the cold! We liked how our hotel room was extremely clean. The included breakfast buffet was excellent too. Almost all the hotel staff we spoke to could also speak English.
