A traditional stone-built Villa with 4 master bedrooms plus 2 small ones and 4 bathrooms built within a beautiful olive grove and a 1000sq.m. plot with 40sq.m pool. The villa is a comfortable 156 sq.m two-story building made of natural material with more than 150years of history. The villa is located in a traditional small village called Vergiana close to Margarites village. This house invites you to enjoy its simplicity and the sense of absolute tranquility. The location of the village is perfect for people who love to stay in a quiet place and spend time with their families or friends! It is a comfortable156 sq.m two-story building made from stone and wood with more than 150 years of history. Then it was renovated in 2013-2015 by it’s owners without any architectural interventions, the villa still preserves its elegant traditional touches. The villa can accommodate 10 people in bedrooms and up to 12 people overall. It has 4 master bedrooms, plus two smaller, 4 bathrooms and each bedroom has access to separate fully equipped kitchen, a large yard with gardens, olive trees and the spacious 40 sqm pool (1.2-1.5 m deep). It is large enough for one, two or three families and provides you everything in order to feel like your home! Ground Floor On ground floor, you will find two independent apartments each of them with an interconnected master bedroom with a double bed, while a hall leads you to one smaller bedroom with one single bed. Each apartment has a fully equipped kitchen and dining area and a bathroom. First Floor On first floor, you will find 2 more apartment whose each of them has one bedroom featuring a double bed , a private bathroom and a fully equipped kitchenette and a balcony. In each kitchenette upstairs you will find two more single beds, where the 11th and 12th guest can sleep on. Outdoors The outdoor area of the villa has about 1000 sqm fenced yards and gardens with flowers and trees where you can enjoy the relaxing natural environment! You can either relax under the trees or in our 40 sqm swimming pool area. The lush garden with the olive trees and other trees and flowers create a relaxing and peaceful atmosphere and promise unforgettable days and nights under the Cretan sky. In addition, there is also a barbecue and dining area where you can enjoy your meal in outdoor area. PLACE OF INTEREST At the northwestern foothills of Mountain Idi, at an altitude of approximately 380 m and close to the villa, there is the ancient city of Eleftherna. Today, ruins from different historic periods of ancient Eleftherna are rescued. Eleftherna is supposed to be the 'next big thing' on Crete's archaeological map. A brand new museum is expected to be open along with the archaeological site itself. Last but not least, for those who want to get the most of it: Cycling or walking excursions by following the E4 path Arkadi – Eleftherna – Margarites. Each destination has its own beauty. Total path length: 12km, duration 4.5 hours, suggested period: all year round, difficulty level: the gradients are not steep, yet the route is quite tiring. Panormo is the closest beach -app. 13 km-, where you can find amazing tavernas with fresh fish, coffee shops, market, souvenir shops and amazing sandy beach with all sorts of summer sea sports and unique sea caves that you can explore. The villa is located in a very quiet small village, ideal to relax! There are no bus routes running from the place and therefore a car is advisable in order to explore many places. I can help you in renting one (from the airport) with 5% discount. We can help you make any kind of arrangements prior or during your stay such as car hire, boat trips, excursions etc! Yes, it's a bit further away from major places to visit but the views, the facilities and the peace and quiet more than make up for the extra 15-20 minutes drive. A car is essential but make sure you don't get a car that's too big as you will struggle to get to the Villa, the access road is really narrow. The room layout was perfect for us and allows you to have some quiet time away from the pool area if you want. Garden and BBQ area are great, fresh fruit on the trees and the plants and flowers around the property give it a real traditional Greek feel. Kostas, our host was exceptional, he was always available should we have any questions and it was really nice to bump into him in the village during our stay. All in all, a fantastic property and a great host, the welcome pack we received on arrival was a really nice touch. If you're looking for an authentic Greek Villa which offers lots of space, peace and quiet to relax then I would recommend this location. Thanks Kostas and Evmorfia. ##### David B. Es waren trotzdem alle ich glaube 13 Betten bezogen so dass man auch in ein anderes Zimmer ausweichen könnte wenn man denn wollte. Die Doppelbetten waren zum Teil auch sehr schmal so dass wir dieses ausweichen in ein anderes Zimmer tatsächlich genutzt haben. Der Garten und der Pool waren ein Traum. Granatapfel, Zitronen, Limetten, Feigen wuchsen einfach so auf dem Grundstück. Wirklich traumhaft. Jeden Morgen Granatapfel... Wir fühlten uns sehr gut aufgehoben. We had a bit of a problem with flies in a couple of the baths, but we were able to control the problem. For the eight of us it was exceptionally comfortable and the owner and manager were responsive to our requests and needs. Aug 9, 2016 #### Relaxation Guaranteed at this villa The property has been beautifully renovated to provide a relaxing retreat. The villa is in a very quiet location offering complete relaxation buy the large pool which along with the terrace is a complete sun trap. The property was spotless when we arrived, and was cleaned with linens and towels changed within a few days of our stay. The owner is very generous and left melons for us, and returned on the Saturday morning with fresh for us to bbq that evening. Margarites is a short drive away with lots of pottery on offer and several tavernas whilst Rethmino can be reached within half an hour. You'll definitely need a car. Jul 19, 2016 #### La villa è splendida. La villa è splendida. appena ristrutturata e situata in un piccolo villaggio immerso nel verde degli ulivi. Il mare è raggiungibile in 20 mimuti (circa 10 km). Il proprietario è una persona squisita ed il servizio fornito eccellente. Pur essendo un unico immobile può essere abbitato anche da tre famiglie, in quanto le tre camere principali sono tra loro indipendenti. Alle spalle della piscina c'è un bel giardino con agrumi ed ulivi, ed a bordo piscina un grande tavolo per oltre 10 persone. Ogni stanza è dotata di climatizzatore indipendente, anche se il bel clima secco e ventilato ne ha reso poco indispensabile l'utilizzo. Unico suggerimento per il Proprietario: installare una doccia esterna a bordo piscina. Ringraziamo il proprietario per la cortesia, e la simpatia, felici di averlo conosciuto. Consiglierei sicuramente la villa a gruppi di due o tre famiglie affiatate, che ricerchino una vacanza bella e rilassante in un bellissimo contesto a pochi km dal mare. Anche i pochi abitanti del villaggio sono stati molto cortesi.
