Museum of Health Care Tours and Activities

Staff friendly and tried to help when possible. Architecture in Public areas well maintained and quite awesome. Numerous minor issues with room. On check in one key didn’t work. One Door to TV stand/cabinet wouldn’t open fully, so we couldn’t use half the cabinet. We were told to go to front desk and another room would be assigned. Room offered was in a less desirable location so we decided to stay in original room. Thermostat in room read 22 degrees regardless of actual temp in room. This meant the heater/air conditioner was constantly working to raise or lower the actual room temp to what we felt was comfortable. Although reported the first day, the ice machine on the floor was still broken when we left. Overall, we felt the room and its amenities were well below the standard we would expect of a 5star hotel.

As a person alone travelling for business, maybe don’t put me on the floor with an entire children’s hockey team and families with young kids. I selected “travelling for business” when I booked and was staying for 2 weeks straight!! I was put beside the stairs and a bunch of loud kids and families who were playing games, screaming and running in the halls for hours, and past 10pm. Parents just don’t care. 30+ kids playing in the halls!!! Called to tell staff several times. I won’t be back after years of going there. Do not book in September when they have lots of tournaments. Other hotels like TownePlace always put me far away from families since I’m working in my room and have early mornings. Especially when I book for such a long time and my colleagues and I travel a lot for work.
