This premier home features a fully-equipped kitchen complete with a range-top oven, dishwasher, microwave, two refrigerators (one downstairs), one ice maker, and a chest freezer. Other indoor amenities include two large living areas, central heat and air conditioning, ceiling fans, and laundry room with a washer and dryer. Nine flat screen TVs, two DVD players, and Wi-Fi are also provided. Sleeping accommodations include five king (three up, two down), one queen (up), one double-over-double bunk bed set, and one twin with a trundle (both down). Three bathrooms are up, and two are down. Pop’s Place also features two front porches (one covered, one screened-in), an inlet-front Carolina room and porch, as well as a Foosball table. Outdoor amenities include an inlet-front gazebo, private 32-by-15-foot heated swimming pool (3-to-5-foot deep, heated from Labor Day to Memorial Day when air temps are above 55°), outdoor showers with hot and cold running water, sink and toilet, private floating and stationary boat docks, and a spacious yard for play. Inlet Harbor strictly prohibits motorcycles, golf carts, outdoor inflatables, and fireworks. No smoking. No pets. Maximum Occupancy:18 The images and tours are provided to show the property's layout. Conveniently located close to some of the best area attractions, Garden City Beach is directly south of Surfside Beach and ends on a peninsula at the mouth of Murrells Inlet. One of the most renowned attractions in Garden City Beach is the Pier at Garden City. Other points of interest include Marlin Quay Marina and restaurants Sara J's Seafood Restaurant, Gulfstream Café, and Original Sam's Corner. Just south of Garden City Beach is Murrells Inlet, a seaside community considered the "Seafood Capital of South Carolina" and home to some of the nation's best golf courses. Once primarily a fishing village, the town is best known for the Murrells Inlet MarshWalk, a half-mile-long boardwalk overlooking a pristine salt marsh, and the many award-winning restaurants along Highway 17 Business in the central business district. Brookgreen Gardens, a sculpture garden and wildlife preserve built on four former rice plantations, is located slightly south of the MarshWalk. It features several themed gardens with American figurative sculptures, trails through several nature reserve ecosystems, and the Lowcountry Zoo. If you're looking for places to shop, The Market Common, Broadway at the Beach, Barefoot Landing, two Tanger shopping outlets, Myrtle Beach Boardwalk and Promenade, and many more shopping facilities are all within an easy drive from Garden City Beach. This is our annual family vacation that we do with all of kids, spouses and grandkids. There was 14 of us. House was great and new remodel was excellent.All had a great time. Pool and gazebo were perfect for outside fun. Beach was never crowded and only a 5 minute walk. Ice machine was perfect and well used. Kitchen had everything. It is located in a quiet neighborhood, and the beach was easy to access and fantastic for the family because it was not crowded like the main beaches of the Grand Strand. Either mosquitos, bting flies or no see-ums were so bad some of us couldnt sleep at night due to scratching our bites. The bugs were as bad as we have ever seen. Reviewer Comments: This is the second year that we have rented this property. The property is a great vacation spot. The biggest disappointment was the linen service. Some of the linens provided did not match the beds. Some linens labeled as king were actually queen. The same errors that were made last year. This service is not optional but it should be. I would definitely opt to provide our own linens. The vacation rental was very clean. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. The only exception was that there was less parking space than I had expected especially if you have a boat trailer. The check-in process was very disappointing. I have been vacationing in Murrell's Inlet / Garden City area for 53 years and this was the 2nd worse check-in that I have had. The house was not available at the 4:00 check-in time. In fact the house cleaners didn't arrive until 4:25 and the house was not available until 6:00pm. There was also an issue with the linens that were provided. One of the king sized beds had queen size linens. Another set of linens was brought out and exchanged. This set of linens was labeled as king size but the linens were actually queen size. The manager provide great service when we called about a need. I would recommend Pops Place to a friend or anyone. We love the Gulfstream restaraunt and Bubbas. Also Uncle MickeysHas good food. My only complaint is the bedroom with the queen bed I don’t think they changed the sheets. I got a set of linens and changed it. This bedroom is off to itself and I just think they missed it.
